Amazing views, incredibly clean apartment which was comforting given the current circumstances. Friendly and accommodating staff. The views from our apartment where just stunning. Will miss the views and the sound of the waves every night. Perfect location easy access to shops, cinemas and Timezone, heated pool with a lovely spa. And plenty more of features. Will definitely be back ! Thank you ^.^

We have been coming to Coolangatta for the past 4 years as we absolutely love the beaches and the general vibe including that of the Ocean Plaza.
We have always stayed here at the Ocean Plaza for either all of part of our stay.
Unfortunately this year our allocated room booking was well below the standard we’ve ever come across in this hotel.
On arrival it felt dirty, the bathrooms have mould, the walls and carpets are very marked, the decor is so dated and incorrectly sized (which in turn feels pokey with our family unable to sit together), the windows coverings are terrible and the oven

We love coolangatta but are getting disheartened by the rising cost of staying there. Considering the current lock down and local businesses crying out for customers, the accommodation cost is to high @ $250pn. Our room also was very rum down with dated furnishings, marks all over the walls ect.
Like I said we love cooly and Ocean plaza but these things I mentioned will make us go elsewhere.
Note, The below $390 p/n was at high season over new years when everything was normal, the 2 was low season. Sad that you compared the 2 stays. Ocean plaza has always been known as Points North poor brother

Views great but to get to swimming pool Not disability friendly and showers a hazard for people with disabilities Needs rails in showers and no glass doors and room had cracks near ceiling and balcony door was very hard to open and close other then that was Nice I couldn't end up swimming as had to have too many of my family help me up and down stairs Please look into a ramp

We booked this apartment assuming it would be similar to those shown on the apartments website.The hotel was rated 4 star but ours would not even rate 2 star.There were no handles on any draws or cupboards in the kitchen,just recessed grooves ,hard to open with paint worn off and very difficult to assess if they had been cleaned or not.Shower doors in 2nd bedroom appeared to be mouldy but it was just age.We looked at other units on level 5 courtesy of the cleaners and it was obvious that ours was the worst on level 5.The others had modern renovated kitchens and comfortable furniture.We advised

I enjoyed my recent escape to Ocean Plaza Resort very much. Reception staff were lovely and met all my booking requests. I stayed on Level 17 and had amazing ocean views. The location was fantastic, with the beach directly across the road and shops, bars and restaurants virtually on the doorstep.
The building itself is 30+ years old, so don't expect ultra modern accommodation. However, my apartment (whilst being slightly dated) was extremely spacious and comfortable with everything I needed for a short stay. There was a huge smart TV with Foxtel and a DVD player. We stayed at this resort for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The beach views were just amazing. We were greeted by the lovely reception and local residents in the lifts. Our apartment was very spacious and clean and they had Foxtel sports. The beds were super comfortable, which gave us good sleeps. Location is excellent as we had secure internal access to local shops. We had a great experience and will definitely stay again.
