Tweed Central Motel

We booked this motel as the reviews we had seen are outstanding. However, we are shocked by the quality and cleanliness of the hotel.
1. Fridge did not work, and the staff member came into the room barefoot and stated he fixed the problem. Hours later, the fridge stopped working again, and our ingredients went off.
2. The toaster, pantries, cupboards were full of dust, so obviously not cleaned in a while. The bed sheets were full of stains, and when we first arrived at the motel, the room carried a very odd odour, so we had to open the windows and fan to air out the room.

The owner was so amazing and considerate, and facilities were good quality for the price. The location is also quite convenient, 5 minute walk from the beach and a short drive to the shopping centre. Would definitely recommend

John and his crew are so accommodating.
Gave us all the tools for the BBQ + cooking oil and cutlery and they even cleaned it for us the next day.
Such lovely people and clean facilities with free washing machine and dryer too.

Stayed here when my flight with TigerAir was cancelled, really nice room and it's close to the airport. The place is clean and they have all the amenities like microwave, plates & glasses in the room . The staffs are friendly and it's suitable for the people who are travelling with their family.

Fantastic service from our hosts John and Maria. Bent over backwards to make sure we were looked after during our stay. Have stayed a few different place in the last couple of weeks (all of which charged more) and Tweed Central Motel is by far the best.

Stayed here in a Friday night. Room fronted the street but you would not know it. Quite as quite could be due to double glazing. Room was large with all amenities you may need for a week stay. Microwave, Fridge, cutlery, dishes , breakfast nook, air conditioned, very spacious indeed. A bit aged but very clean. Close to Twin towns and tweed bowls club. I would definitely stay again.

Was very happy with my stay here. Was greeted by a friendly lady on arrival who upgraded me to a king room as there was only one room left but didn't charge me extra for it. Room was clean and comfortable - will stay again when in the area.

This is the second time my wife and i have been to Tweed Central. Lovely clean spacious rooms all the amenities that we needed, close handy to Twin Towns for meals and the concerts we attended.

Very dissapointed when we arrived after I was handed my receipt for payment was told power would be off till 4.3opm due to works next door when asked when he found out that would occur he said today I said to him I dont belive that for one minute he goes oh ye we got told the day before. I said to him that this wasnt good enough as we went to… Tweeds for a function and needed to prepare etc and said to him that he should of called his customers and advise that the power would be out as so we were aware and that we could make alternative arrangements he said well not my problem and cant help

John and Marea were great hosts. Waited for me after my flight. Fantastic room at affordable rates.

Loved the position, very clean, friendly staff all you need. There is a high rise being built next door and the workers started at 6am that is the only fall back. Otherwise we loved our stay there

The rooms were very nice. But no air conditioner makes for a very uneasy night so checked out a day early.

Very comfortable bed. Clean and tidy room. Very noisy builders next door, earplugs in room.
