Acupuncture has been practiced in China for more than 5,000 years. Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique for unblocking qi (or energy) by inserting needles at particular acupoints on the body to balance the opposing forces of yin and yang. Qi is an energy that allegedly permeates all living things.
Chinese herbs are prescribed to harmonise or correct imbalanced energy, qi that runs through invisible meridians in the body. The herbs used are usually imported from China where their use dates back at least 2000 years. Using only natural properties and flavours of medicinal substances, it may help restore the imbalance of the body's energy.
Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old Chinese system of natural healing (no drugs, no surgery) which is concerned with restoring proper energy flow to the various organs, glands, meridians and tissues of the body on the premise that most diseases are the result of malfunction due to disrupted energy flow.
