Over many years we have experienced some aneurism related sight setbacks. Occluding lenses, regular eye maintenace as well as fashionable frames have been needed. John Fitzgerald and his staff have been and are peerless in their application of the latest science to resolving our problems and following through to good outcomes. Fitzgerald Optometry provided our family with outstanding professional service. We all had our eyes examined by John with the latest technology equipment and the process was very thorough. Looking forward to make an appointment with them. I had an issue with my old glasses and they kindly helped me with it. At my usual optometrist (specsavers) just dismissed my glasses and pushed me to get new ones but I was in an urgency as I lost my current ones. At the moment I have to wear my oldies which were quickly fixed there. Thanks!

I went away to a festival and wore my contacts - only to get dust in my eyes and an infection. I walked in off the street and John immediately saw me and flushed my eyes and provided eye drops to help!
Not only did he help on the day, but followed up a few days later to make sure the eye had settled down.
I cant say thank you enough. I true health practitioner CARES and in my eyes (see what I did there) John is the perfect example of this!

Absolutely disappointed in the service i received today. From what I understand if you have not had an eye check in 3 years it is covered by Medicare, i had not had one since 2012. I then called to make sure that my first appointment was covered by Medicare, they said yes up to $50. Whilst i was being seen to, it wasnt until i had my eye ready to use a machine did the optometrist tell me that this was an additional $30 fee not covered by Medicare. He could have told me this leading into moving to the area with the machine, whilst in the consulting room but he choose to tell me when i was about

Overall experience was great and I mean great. Friendly, personable and knowledgeable staff that were eager to go the extra mile without being asked to. It's a rare find these days and goes a long way when not expected. Shaun was the gentleman who had helped me and during our relations in the shop he did not fault.
