Royal Hotel
After 30 years of trade, we have decided to hang up our boots for health and family reconnection reasons. Family is ultimately first and foremost, with everything we do is to ensure that they are happy and grounded. Over the last several years, running a busy and demanding business has taken its toll on our health and our young family.

Fortunately, we have been able to realize this before too late, and have decided to focus on our family and well being. Our restaurant, front bar, lounge and cocktail areas are now closed. At this stage, only the bottle shop is trading so if you are walking past or in the area, pop in and say hi.

The Royal is one of our favourite places to eat. Food is always delicious, fresh and a great variety of dishes. Staff always happy and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Favourite local ever. Here's hoping the next generation of custodians is half as good as the last.

Great family lunch in the dining room. Well attended by helpful and polite staff. Good menu with some old classics done with a modern twist. Great portion sizes so you definitely won't leave hungry 😝

Regularly here as it's my local. The beers are great, with rotating taps - though a little more expensive than some places. Parma rates about a 7/10 for me which while isn't my favourite, it's a solid and satisfying meal.
Importantly... The pool tables are $1/game. Much cheaper than most places!

This is a local pub in Clifton Hill that has typical bar food in the bar area but also a very good restaurant at the side. The bar is fine for a drink and a catch up with friends - not too noisy, family friendly and some outdoor seating.
Staff are very friendly. Parking is not much stress. Its not far from Clifton Hill train station if you don't have your own wheels.

Great pub... still a locals pub... family owned and run. Good dining out the back, counter meals at the front.
A place where the bar team know your name.
