Lake Macquarie Psychology is a small practice that aims to help people navigate life's challenges in order to improve their mental health. Our psychologist has specialist skills and experience to help you develop a deeper understanding of your situation, to enable you to move forward positively in your life.
This support is provided in a compassionate, caring and confidential environment. Our psychologist has worked with people from age 5 upwards (but has expertise in working with people over 16years of age) from diverse backgrounds, across a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief and loss issues, and life adjustment issues.

Services
As we provide services to individuals, this means we do not provide services for couples or families. There are specialised services elsewhere that offer these types of services. Psychologists are professionals with post-graduate qualifications in the study of human behaviour, emotions and development.
Our clients come to us in a number of different ways, and this determines the fees and rebates applicable. If you have been referred by your GP, or another health professional under Medicare, you are entitled to a rebate from Medicare.
Full payment is paid upfront on the day of service at Lake Macquarie Psychology (we accept cash & also have EFTPOS facilities available), with the rebate provided from Medicare to you on the same day of service via our HICAPS or online system.If you hold a Gold DVA card and have been referred by your GP, or another health professional, you may be entitled to a rebate from DVA.
