Forest Hill Optometry is a family owned independent optometry practice. It was established 1966 by John Barrett and was formerly known as John Barrett & Associates. Since 2006 it has been owned and operated by Dr Richard Ross (B.Optom, M.Optom, Post Grad Cert Ocular Therapeutics) who is an experienced optometrist with special interests in contact lenses and treating eye disease.
Contact lenses are a comfortable, convenient alternative to glasses. Easy to put in and made out of extremely breathable materials, they are available in almost any prescription. Contact lenses are great for sport, work and social use, and many people are able to wear them all day, every day.
Whether you're a first timer, have tried contact lenses before, or need an update to your prescription, our optometrists will fit you with the contact lenses that are perfect for you.We use only the best contact lens brands, so you can be assured that the best available lens design will be used, whether you want to use a daily lens or a custom made rigid gas permeable lens for more complex eye conditions.

At Forest Hill Optometry, we have a suite of diagnostic equipment so we can accurately test your eyes and examine them for the presence of eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and macular degeneration. Our digital retinal cameras provides high quality images of the front and back of your eyes, so we can show you the health of your eyes and determine whether they are changing.
