After being with Dentists of Ivanhoe for many years and helping create awesome smiles and healthy teeth, Dr Cathy Cameron has decided to retire. We wish Dr Cameron well in her retirement. She will be missed by all. No worries, the wonderful treatment that patients experienced while in her care will also be found with any of our other highly competent dentists.
Dr Liban Mohamed graduated from the University of Melbourne, initially completing the Bachelor of Biomedicine prior to his postgraduate Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Australian Society of Periodontology Prize - Awarded for highest academic achievement in Periodontology for the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Dr James You graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He started his career in his hometown of Sydney, being accepted into the competitive new graduate program at Sydney Dental Hospital. There he gained a wealth of experience working with specialists and in the community health clinics.
We are thrilled to have Caroline Price as part of our Ivanhoe team for the past 10 years. As a dental therapist and hygienist, she brings 28 years of experience and skills to the practice. Early intervention orthodontics to develop dental alignment and to guide facial growth patterns. A gentle approach to children's dentistry as they start their dental journey free of anxiety.

Andrew is the best dental hygienist in Victoria! Not only does he give exceptional advice about teeth, but each appointment is like a friendly catch up as he always asks what I am up to and how things have been. After a life long nervousness/fear of dentists I finally got the nerve to get my teeth checked at Dentists of Ivanhoe. I was seen by Dr Portbury. Her professional, personable, clear and non- judgemental manner allowed me to feel I was in 'safe hands' and that there was a clear plan to improve my situation. Together with Nermine - they got my teeth and oral health back on track. Highly recommended.

Hi all, I had all my wisdom teeth extracted in the chair at dentists of Ivanhoe I must say I was extremely nervous because I was going to be wide awake for the hole procedure ! On the day the nurses where so reassuring and as soon as I sat down in the chair I felt very safe and new I was in good hands. I have heard so many story’s of peoples mouth swelling up really bad after the extraction which freaked me out a lot ! But I had hardly any swelling I was so amazed. I highly recommend Shehan and his team at dentists of Ivanhoe they are amazing !

This is the best dental surgery I have been to: in short, they are friendly, comprehensive, attentive to detail, and the end result is that while I have a mouth full of fillings, I no longer have any idea they are even there. To date I have had about ten old fillings replaced and a crown installed to deal with a tooth crossed with hairline fractures, all this over three or four visits. Dr Ting, my dentist, was excellent: I didn't feel a thing. He insisted on fixing every last detail, to the point I no longer know which of my teeth have fillings. My first visit with Dr. Shehan was to get a second opinion on a highly bloated dental work procedure I got from another dentist. I was able to book in an early morning (7.30am) appointment with him through their online portal, super easy to use. He was on time the next morning, even though I made the appointment at 9PM.

Dr Shehan is perhaps one of the most calm dentists out there. He is always so polite, makes the patient feel so comfortable, and wonderfully smiling. So professional, thorough, yet so empathetic to understand that dental procedures aren't easy to undergo and also costly. He ensures end to end transparency of the problem, solution, pros and cons, and cost benefits. I definitely put a lot of faith in his recommendation and suggestions when it comes to me and my family's dental health. He is also v respectful of the patient's time, rarely late to appointments. I saw Dr Liban and the team today for a 4 x wisdom teeth removal. I was very apprehensive about the procedure but could not have been more pleased with how it went. The team are kind, caring and professional and made me feel safe and comfortable before, during and after the procedure. They were particularly very good at explaining each step and taking things as slow as I needed. If you are fearful of the dentist, or this type of procedure, I would highly recommend Dentists of Ivanhoe.

It has been a good 10 years since I last visited a dentist and I moved to Ivanhoe in 2019. I began seeing the wonderful team at Dentists of Ivanhoe Central this year. I just had my second visit and I couldn't be happier. The team are incredibly welcoming, friendly and informative. I didn't really know what to expect and at times goes a tiny bit nervous but I have had such pleasant experiences so far that dental hygiene is no longer a topic I avoid. They're more than happy to answer all questions and provide various alternative solutions to any issues. They are upfront and reasonable with pricing
