Nick's Restaurant is nestled in the lush green countryside of Yungaburra in the Atherton Tablelands just a stone's throw away from the local platypus viewing platform and Curtin fig tree. Nine months of the year, the Atherton Tablelands experiences warm and sunny weather with temperatures averaging 25C.
Our A la Carte Menu offers a range of dishes representative of the Alps and its surroundings. You can enjoy German style roast, Italian pastas and of course Swiss specialities, garnished with daily picked fresh herbs from the Chef's garden. We also adapt to specific requirements. We also provide distraction (colour pens, games.)
Here at Nick's we are thrilled to be part of your special life events, be if for a birthday, a wedding or a christening. For a birthday, we can create a cake for the occasion, according to your liking. We also sing and get everyone involved in the celebration for good memories.
Nick and the team are looking forward to tailor the dcor and menu of any of your celebration, as we also adapt to professional functions (seminars, business meetings or dinners).We possess our own projector and coffee & tea station, and we can organise the restaurant according to your needs. Basically took 15 mins to be seated after we were walked past by at least 4 wait staff with no directions we wandered through the restaurant and sat at the pizzeria end to be served, whislt the restaurant was pretty.
The cooks in the kitchen going off at the wait staff the language was shockin was willing to look past that but it took one hour 25 mins for our food to arrive by then we were over it for warm pasta amd a pretty basic pizza i think ill take my 90dollars back to dominos get a decent feed and sit at the lake for faster more quality tasting food u can always gauruntee a respectful apolology

The low rating was due to one staff member who appeared to have some problem with us.
When entering, we were asked if we were vaccinated and to check in using the app, which we did. We were then told to walk through to the eating area and would be given a table.
The next staff member again asked if we had checked in and I got out the phone to show the check-in app. It clearly showed that myself and my husband were checked in - 2 people. I went and checked in again, just to prove it.
But she kept asking if we had all checked in, and again said we all had to check in.

WE were so eager to have this Woodfired pizza. We booked a table late afternoon, only to arrive a few short hours later and be told that they had no pizza or bread dough at all. Leaving us to choose from 2 salads and 4 pastas out from the menu. Though what we got was great, the restaurant was very quiet and it was very confusing why they would have run out if making it on site... a phone call to let us know prior to arriving would have made all the difference.

What a great stay, great restaurant, great hospitality, especially the little van, surrounded by nature, the best walk by the creek seeing the platypus and other wildlife. The local 2 curlews are amazing. Thanks Nick for everything. The food was great, staff were great, the accommodation was awesome. Better than sleeping in my caršI will be back, and here to tell everyone they must visit. Wish I had a longer visit. Thanks againā¤š¹
