Choosing foods that are as close as possible to nature - whole foods and minimally processed - is a good start to eating a healthy and balanced diet. Why not try Avocado on wholegrain toast, Grilled lemon and herb salmon + leafy green salad, Poached eggs on wholegrain toast + avocado and spinach, or by adding some flax seeds, chia seeds, avocado, or almond butter to your favourite smoothie!
Good fats are an important part of a healthy diet. They help increase good cholesterol (HDL) and decrease bad cholesterol (LDL). Food sourced mono and poly-unsaturated fats are found in avocados, extra virgin olive oil, nuts, seeds, and fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines. I blog quite often and I really appreciate your information.
Poor fat has gotten a bad rap over the last 50+ years. There used to be no difference between good fat or bad fat. And if you ate fat then you were going to be fat. So, supermarkets stocked low-fat foods that were made tasty by adding sugar. It's not surprising that obesity increased right alongside the increased popularity of low-fat foods!
