Kent Street Veterinary Clinic was established more than 40 years ago and has been an integral part of Canberra's community. Since 2013 we are under new ownership but our goal remains the same: we provide pets with the highest possible standard of compassionate veterinary care. Nonna studied veterinary science in Ukraine before coming to Australia in 1996.
Kent Street Veterinary Clinic offers laser therapy which helps to turn your pet's hurting to healing. Given the cool Canberra climate, arthritis is prevalent among pets in our region but a new laser therapy treatment at Kent Street Veterinary Clinic is helping to alleviate the problem - turning hurting into healing.
We never advertise, as we always have staff, so today is a rare opportunity to work in our top service patient and client focused veterinary clinic. We are looking for a multitasking person, who can work under pressure. Enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated, with a genuine love for animals and interest to please our clients.

Our cat started limping for no reason but our usual vet was fully booked, I have never had a bad experience at the vet so I trusted this clinic based on the reviews. Sadly, we had a terrible experience. First, we had to wait 20 minutes before seeing the vet. We were asked to wait outside because of Covid which I totally understand but the next customer, for some reason, was dispensed from waiting outside. I was covered with mosquito bites as a result but was more shocked by the cold reception from the receptionist. As we were allowed in, my cat became really distressed and there was no effort made

We have been going to see Nona and the team for five years now. As we adopt older dogs (8 years plus) we tend to visit more than my wife's parents visit their vet. Nona and the vet nurses are amazing. They are always caring and empathetic. Nona is happy to answer any question and spends as much time as is needed to treat your pet.
Of the three dogs we have had, two have had serious medical conditions. We could not have asked for better care. When we had to put one of our dogs down recently we could not have asked for a more caring and respectful environment or staff.
Overall I cannot recommend

I've had a pretty up-and-down experience with vets since starting my journey as a dog-mum a few years ago, and I can honestly say that after my appointment yesterday, I have never had a better experience with a vet.
Dr Green is amazing and so kind and warm. She is very attentive and seems to genuinely listen to your concerns.
The actual reception is smaller than other vets I've been to but I really didn't mind - this clinic is operating out of a house and the space has been used effectively.
I will definitely be back.
