Tru Taekwondo
Website
TRU Taekwondo was founded with the hope of being able to pass on the skills, abilities and awareness they have gained over the 16 years they have been involved in this Martial Art. TRU Taekwondo teaches a style of Taekwondo based on Chung Do Kwan philosophy, using both the hands and feet for self-defence and fitness.

The name Chung Do Kwan means "The school of the Blue Wave", and was inspired by the strong and unstoppable nature of the ocean waves and is centred on the mastery of the basics, strong and precise techniques, as well as manner and etiquette. TRU Taekwondo offers a friendly affordable club where young people or families can get fit, have fun and develop self-esteem and confidence while gaining skills and knowledge in the art of self-defence.

KI-AHP - This is done when exerting energy during forceful movement, and unless used correctly, is not effective. Before a movement, air should be drawn in through the nose and imagined to rest itself in the lower stomach area. Upon completing the movement, the air should be released through the mouth.

I first took my son to Tru for their summer camp last year. My son had ADHD and I knew most places would have a hard time handling him. They've always worked with him and made him feel like he was where he needed to be. He also does taekwondo and absolutely loves working with Master Terranova!

TRU Taekwondo Center has been a positive force in my children’s lives as well as my own. We have each found what we needed and at our own level. The family environment allows us all to feel comfortable and safe. I would highly recommend TRU Taekwondo Center to any family looking for an energetic place to find discipline, exercise and fun!!!

Great people! My daughter has taken classes here for 3 years, and its built her confidence, pride, and she just recently earned her Black Belt! The leaders/masters are all helpful, and understanding whether it's a 4 year old child, or an adult looking to better themselves.

My son joined their team in spring last year and has grown so much since he started. Tru Tdidn’t just help with taekwondo, but also helped with getting Nate to be responsible at home and school. We really love watching him grow in the Tru program!
