Our name "Barefoot" signifies our approach to early childhood care and education - simple, organic and connected. We believe that childhoods should be full of love, wonder and magic and you will find it at every turn at Barefoot.
Whether observing our native wildlife or caring for our farm animals, climbing trees or making mud pies, our children are immersed in the joy of childhood. No child should ever get "lost in the crowd" so we intentionally keep our group sizes and our centre small, ensuring that every individual has a chance to shine.

Services
We are a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten, which means that our Teacher's qualifications have been approved and our programs run in line with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines curriculum. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality educational and school readiness programs, with the convenience of a supporting long day care program (6.30am - 6.30pm) and delicious home cooked meals and snacks included.
Barefoot doesn't feel like a child care centre - it feels like a home. We have intentionally created environments which offer children security and comfort, as we know that children who feel safe and loved are the best learners. From the moment you walk through our front door you will notice the difference in the ambience of Barefoot compared to other child care services.
As parents, we love our children more than anything in this world - and we know you do too. We understand how important it is for you to know that your child is being cared for by qualified, experienced educators, but most importantly you want to know that they will be safe, loved and nurtured in your absence.
We understand just how hard it can be to get out the door of a morning, therefore we aim to do everything possible to support our families with convenience. Our daily fee includes all meals and snacks, all nappies, consumables and linen. We are very happy to use a family's own cloth nappies if this is their preference.
Set on over an acre of land, our playgrounds offer children the original childhood wonderland.
Our children enjoy having their own tiny pony, Neekie, and her best friend, Lucy the mini goat, a small farmyard for cuddling little fuzzy chooks, treehouses to explore and develop their muscle strength, water play creek bed and mud pit for damming and engineering, kitchen gardens and fruit trees, native bees, indigenous gardens and wild spaces for exploring.

Barefoot have made the transition from home to childcare so smooth for both my children. My boys are always so excited to go to care & I really feel like they get the love & affection they need from their Educators. My eldest son was having an emotional time at his last kindy & was crying every drop off, he hasn't cried since moving him to Barefoot & is always keen to go to kindy & has lots of fun stories to tell us about his day. The staff are always so friendly, approachable & professional.

Barefoot Early Childhood is truly one of a kind! From the moment I walked through the doors I knew I had found the right place for us.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, treating every child with respect and compassion - an extension of their own families. The atmosphere is peaceful, warm and inviting making you feel comfortable and at home from the moment you enter .. and the environment, what can I say!

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Barefoot Early Childhood is, I’m so grateful every single day that my children get to attend such an amazing daycare, it’s their home away from home and the staff are beyond amazing. Sending our first child off to daycare was a scary step to take but the amazing Barefoot family have made it a smooth transition for him and us! We chose Barefoot for its connection to nature and outdoors which is really important to us. We have been so happy with the amazing teachers and educators at Barefoot and all the wonderful activities they do with the kids!

When looking to send our second child to kindergarten before he went off to prep I felt sick, we didn’t want to send him to one of the mainstream Centres, we wanted to send him somewhere where he was still able to be a child and be nurtured when he needed it. We wanted a home away from home, then we came across Nicole and her amazing Barefoot Team, as soon as we walked into Barefoot we knew this was the place for us and our Son. Nicole made us feel right at home and put all of our concerns at ease. My Sons teachers are amazing and it makes me sad that we only have this one year with them! I wish
