Your home may not be your castle. Whilst it is generally accepted that public authorities in Victoria have compulsory land acquisition powers e.g.
VicRoads, your local Council or water corporation, most of our clients are surprised to learn that these powers can be exercised whether or not the owner agrees or that development and use of a property can be constrained by the relevant planning scheme because at least part of it is or will be required for a public purpose without the authority exercising its compulsory land acquisition powers.

My husband and I have been clients since 2016. We have a very complex compensation case that they have dealt with in an extremely professional manner. Our legal team are efficient, competent ,astute, very well versed and have great eye for detail. They are courteous, always respond with updates promptly. Their advanced specialist legal people are of the highest standard and also professional people employed to deal with our legal situation.
I have no hesitation in recommending R &G for advice and ongoing legal matters.

Used for Complusory Acq. Great at the start to get you onboard as client. Felt at the end the clients best interests was looked after by Dan and Lauren. Experts was engaged without authority of clients which was ultimately paid by clients. Concerns was not addressed but ignored. After 3 Years of painfully dealing with the Complusory Acq and Rennick & Gaynor (our acting solicitor) I am glad its all over.
