So, you've never danced before and you're finally taking the plunge into the world of Latin dance! Our beginners courses are designed for the absolute beginner and we're here to help. All you have to do now is decide on style of dance, do you want to learn Salsa or Bachata? Question is, what have you danced before?
Having a partner to come to class with would be nice but it's not necessary. We generally have a good balance of leads and follows and we rotate partners during class. For couples, it is not mandatory to rotate but it's highly recommended as it is vital to learning the lead and follow. In addition, it's a lot more fun and it's a great way to meet everyone in class.
Salsa On1 is on Sundays and Thursdays. Salsa On1 is also known as L.A style Salsa and is a dynamic style that is popular in Australia and around the world. To help you decide on which level to join, hit select. Bachata is on Wednesdays and Fridays. We teach a commercial form of Bachata but try to stay true to the roots of the music and dance being The Dominican Republic.
That's okay, we're here to help. We teach Salsa On-1 and Bachata. We offer different levels to suit the different stages of your dancing journey. Whether you're just beginning your journey into Latin dancing, building on the fundamentals or you're at a point where you are honing in on your skills and developing your own style, Urban Salsa has you covered.
Daniel is the Senior Instructor at Blacktie Ballroom studio. Daniel has been dancing Latin and Ballroom since the age of five. When asked at the age of eight what he wanted to be when he grew up he proudly announced "I'm going to be a professional Ballroom Dancer". After winning several Championship titles Daniel turned professional in 1995 and has since taught both American and International dance styles.

Can't recommend Urban Salsa enough! Ray is a great guy who creates a fun environment, where everyone can enjoy themselves while learning a new skill.
One thing that sets Urban Salsa apart from other dance studios is how easy it is to make new friends and meet people, the parties are fun, and it doesn't take long to feel like you're part of a new family.
Ray focuses on breaking down each and every move so that you have a better understanding of how to dance well, and you leave feeling confident that you've improved after every lesson.

I've been going to Urban Salsa for over 2 years and I don't want to go anywhere else I feel hooked to his classes.Besides it's really fun to learn with Ray plus he is a great teacher and amazing environment with great people.Highly recomend it you won't regret it and on top of that is value for money ♥️
