Yvonne's love for dance started at a young age where she learnt dance in Melbourne under the tutelage of Dorothy Gladstone, learning classical ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance. Yvonne's dream was always to open her own dance school and this has come true with Hightone celebrating 43 years in 2018.
Yvonne learnt all styles of dance and competed in exams and competitions through out her dance career. Receiving high honours in her exams and winning competitions along her way, Yvonne went on to study jazz and tap under the tutelage of Antonio Rodriguez, a reknowned American teacher who taught the likes of Liza Minnelli and Peter Allen.

Services
All students have the option to purchase our uniform through us. We have a variety of uniforms to allow each child to choose what they feel comfortable in. We wish to make dance accessible for all students and parents. We have our purple leotard, ballet skirt & cross over available. Students can also wear our Hightone t-shirt and black dance pants, black dance shorts & hoodies.
Tap enhances student's rhythm skills, musicality and unison in combinations of various tempo and style. Tap is about rhythm - measurements of sound & silence. A great way to keep fit for beginners to advanced. A constantly changing and evolving style that includes broadway, musical theatre, funk and lyrical.
All levels in the one class as we have 2 fully trained teachers teaching the classes. We have students working on the basics of headstands, bend backs, cartwheels right through to one handed cartwheels, walk overs and aerials plus heaps more. Partner work is also a great way to be involving all levels of students.
We pride ourselves on being 1 of the lowest priced dance schools in Geelong. We are fully qualified & provide the best for our students. We aim to keep dance classes as affordable as possible. With this in mind, our prices have not changed in several years. Our 1st class is FREE so just come along and have some fun and meet our wonderful friendly students.
