Self Defence in this world today is the skills many people would like to learn. Our style of Aikido, Yoshinkan, is one of the best martial arts to gain the skills of self defence, being the style trained by Riot Police and both male and female Police Officers in Tokyo, Japan. Aikido Yoshinkan is well-known as the Practical Style of Aikido which means techniques are realistic and effective.
Although the central aim of training Aikido is to provide a way or path to follow that will help you overcome crisis, stress and discord in both your personal and public life, it is still a very effective martial art. Aikido will equip you to deal with opponents who may be armed or unarmed, acting alone or in a gang.
1 Practical Aikido: Yoshinkan Aikido is well known for its efficient, effective and realistic techniques trained by Riot Police, Security Police and Metropolitan Police in Tokyo, Japan. Master Mori Shihan has taught QLD and VIC Police, Commands and Special Forces in Australia, India and Japan.

2 Strong Basics and Safe Form Training: Yoshinkan Aikido is strong in basics, having developed six basic movements to train your body and imprint required moves for applying techniques in a fastest way.It is a great advantage to have the form training style which gives you learn techniques with maximum efficiency and with minimum risk of getting injured.
Uchi-deshi (full-time live-in disciple of Master) - the last direct student of Master Gozo Shioda (the legend of modern Japanese Budo world), intensively trained at Headquarters of Aikido Yoshinkan for nine years where he also taught. Prior to become an Aikido professional, he trained boxing for three years.
As the last Uchi Deshi of the late Master Gozo Shioda, my story starts by recapturing some of the great memories I experienced at Honbu Dojo during my nine year instruction under the great man, who was considered the last of the true Japanese Budo martial artists. He was a genius, who earned his 9th dan grading from O Sensei, the founder of Aikido.

I absolutely love it as a parent. My son has been attending for about 4 months. Wonderful team and owner loves what he does. All the trainers are very passionate and urs nice to see that the people around your kids have such a wonderful attitude.
Price is very fair and affordable. It’s half of what I paid before at a karate place previously. Plus the session are longer , about 1 hour. Absolutely love this place !

Great place to start your Martial Arts education. Sensei Jorge is very wise, and the most exciting about this school is that He learned from one of the creators of Aikido. It is very affordable and they really take time to teach you. My son loves to go to the classes. Recommended 100%

Great place. My son loves it. Kids here learn comportment and discipline while building confidence. The adults sessions are really intense and worth every buck. Sensei is very polite and at the same time, takes the sessions serious.

Best price in west houston, kids feel confident, motivated, my favorite part of the trainning is when 3 kids try to put a kid down, and he got to use his self defense.

My son goes to Shudokan School of Aikido since he was 5. He is 9 today. He is building a confidence level he will carry for life and he is acquiring the skills to overcome the expected and unexpected, not only physically but emotionally, with self discipline and a positive approach to aggressions.
The Sensei on that school doesn't base his teachings in mechanical movements like many other martial arts, but in a flow where balance and control in motion overcome physical strength.
I definitely recommend it to everybody.

Best Aikido school in the country I have ever had the privilege of training. There are several high ranking and experienced black belts in this school all willing to help new people learn. I highly recommend training in this school even if you are just passing through town on a visit.

LOVE this school. My son has been training here for over 2 years now. We have moved and it takes almost 45 minutes (one way) to get to class, but it is SO worth it. Our son has developed real skill, confidence, self control and awareness. I really wish Sensei would open another dojo in Fairfield which would be closer to where we live.

Do not train under this school. Sensi is very mean and dis-respectful towards his students and clients. Do not recommend.
