I'm George, a clinical psychologist practising in Brunswick and East Melbourne who is passionate about supporting others towards growth in the face of their difficulties. I work with adults and late adolescents on a variety of issues including trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, health difficulties, academic performance, life direction and drug and alcohol issues.
I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with experience in public and private health settings. I strive to practice in line with my values of care, compassion, warmth, autonomy and knowledge. My aim is for us to work collaboratively to gather a sense of where you see yourself stuck in life and in what ways you are wishing for growth.

Services
Our first appointment is about us getting to know each other and deciding if we are the right fit for each other. We will aim to gather an understanding of your hopes and directions for life, and discuss how therapy could be useful in terms of moving you towards this path. In service of this our initial session will be a 2-hour appointment.
Clients may cancel or reschedule their appointment at any time, provided 24 hours notice is given. If you fail to attend an appointment or reschedule with less than 24-hours notice, a fee of $50 will be charged. Existing clients may cancel their appointment via the text message reminder system and reschedule over the phone or with the online booking portal.
Professor Paul Gilbert explores the science of compassion and how we can put this into practice to create happier lives - for ourselves and others around us. What can we do to prosper when facing pain and suffering in our lives? More than a thousand studies suggest that a major part of the answer is learning psychological flexibility.
Current clients are welcome to book or cancel their appointments through the online booking portal. Please note that I cannot provide a crisis or emergency service. If you require emergency support outside of your appointment please contact 000, your referring GP, your local crisis assessment team (CATT) or relevant crisis support service.
