Over the past ten years of running a studio we've seen how dancing can change people's lives. Dance lessons can be a break from your hectic schedule, a new learning challenge, a chance to get fit, meet new people, or a time to put a little togetherness back in your relationship.
Unlike many other studios, our focus is on social dancing rather than competitive dancing, so our lessons are designed to get you dancing confidently in our studio, at work functions, weddings, on cruise ships or at your local club.Because no two students are alike, no two lesson programs are the same.

We've built an amazing social studio over the last 10 years which students call their happy place or second home! Over the years we have become a community rather than just a dance a studio, and this is all down to our amazing team who are all skilled professionals but more importantly happy, fun people who love their jobs.
70% of our students are couples, so we understand the complexities of teaching two people at the same time! We also understand that one partner might not be as keen as the other on learning to dance, not to mention the tricky dynamics of taking a long-term partnership onto the dance floor where one person leads and the other has to follow!
Our "individual" students are a mixed bunch, from young singles to newly divorced or widowed and people who have a partner but choose to dance solo. At Social Dance Company there is no "one size fits all" approach, each lesson program is tailored specifically to suit your dance goals.
As an individual student you will have regular private lessons with a core instructor, but you'll also get to meet (and dance) with other students at your level in weekly Group Classes.Our twice a month social evenings are legendary and there is no shortage of dance partners as we have an informal "no wallflower" policy so everyone gets to dance.

There is so much to do prior to a wedding, there's a risk that wedding dance lessons can become just another chore. We believe that your dance lessons should be special; a chance for couples to spend some quality time together, dancing and having fun as we create your amazing wedding dance. Dancing can also be a great stress buster that gets you away from the hustle and bustle of planning.

Highly recommend!! My husband and I came to the Social Dance Company to learn a First Dance for our wedding. With zero dancing background, we didn't know if it was even possible for us to pull anything together at all. From our very first meeting with the amazingly talented Jess, she put us at ease. She was incredibly supportive, experienced and knew exactly how to guide us to learn the moves while having fun. At the end of each lesson we would walk out with big smiles on our faces. Jess made sure we were SUPER well prepared for our big day and we even practiced our entrance and how we would greet
