Hi, I'm Sharyn, I am a senior hygienist here at Greater Springfield Orthodontics. I am registered with AHPRA as a dental hygienist and dental therapist. I Graduated with the "Excellence in Oral Hygiene" award and the "Oral B award for Oral Health Promotion". I love working here at Greater Springfield orthodontics.
An orthodontist is the most qualified person to diagnose, prevent and treat any problems you might have with the alignment of your teeth and jaws. Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry which specialises in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of problems in the alignment of teeth and jaws. The technical term for these problems is malocclusion, which literally means "bad bite".
At Greater Springfield orthodontics we don't treat patients with a one-size-fits-all approach. We understand that every smile is different and therefore every treatment plan should be approached differently. Traditional braces are used to correct overcrowded, crooked teeth as well as a misaligned bite. These dental problems can have adverse effects on the jaw and lead to problems with speech, eating, and uneven wearing on teeth. Traditional braces are made up of a series of metal brackets attached to each individual tooth by dental glue for the duration of the orthodontic treatment.
Clarity ADVANCED Ceramic Brackets by 3M provide patients with an alternative solution to traditional metal braces. They offer all the benefits of the traditional orthodontic treatment with the added benefit of a more discreet looking system.
Clear braces are made up the same way as traditional braces with individual brackets on each tooth, arch wires running across the length of the smile and small rubber bands (or "O" rings) holding them in place.Clear braces get their name because the individual brackets in the Clarity ADVANCED Ceramic Bracket system are created in a translucent colour.

Highly recommend this practice, from the very first phone call, Melinda was very friendly, knowledgeable, caring and informative, explained the process for my daughters potential braces requirement and what I was up for financially. Arranged appointment quickly and on the day was highly proficient,caring and understanding. Dr Southall explained potential options simply and recommendations from his perspective. A very professional organization with friendly caring staff.

I would like to give a very BIG thank you to Dr Natasha Clare and the rest of the amazing staff. I highly recommend Greater Springfield Orthodontics, especially for adult braces. My braces were barely visible & just took 17 months to give me the smile I wanted! The whole process was seamless and very easy going, to my surprise. The Suresmile Technology was great! I highly recommend coming to Greater Springfield Orthodontics for your braces treatment!! They are by far the best in the business. From the beginning, the lady’s have been amazing with helping me gain the smile I’ve always wanted. I work full time but they have never failed to work around my hours and have made it super easy for appointments etc throughout my whole treatment. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!
