Our host is so welcoming and warm. The room was wonderfully in keeping with the 1920s period, with a little modern comfort of a/c, TV and ours had a little bathroom.
A lovely location right on the river, art everywhere, beautiful period furniture, and did I say that the host is delightful. A BnB experience worth booking for.

Staying overnight in Kempsey we stumbled across this little cafe for brekky before getting back on the road. We had a simple breakfast of croissants and coffee and no complaints from us. Service was attentive and friendly and the setting on the Macleay river overlooking the bridge was beautiful.

Very pleasant spot. Menu is full of fresh local ingredients. Even on a rainy day, lunch in the veranda was lovely.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I was the first ever guest of the new owners Bobi and Richard and had an amazing week-long stay while in town on business. With beautiful Victorian-era rooms (with complimentary port and Belgian chocolates!) stepping out onto a deck overlooking the river, Netherby House has a wonderful other-world feel I absolutely loved.
Richard is an ace in the kitchen, too, and I really enjoyed his and Bobi's company over a glass of wine by the fire. This place is a hidden gem in great hands.
