Morris Jones is a restaurant, cocktail and wine bar that offers a unique Californian Japanese cuisine, a Californian take on modern Japanese set in a verdant sanctuary. Renowned artist David Bromley's personal collection of 1960's Japanese artists adorns the walls of our 1887 heritage warehouse building.
Morris Jones encourages enjoying modern adventurous food, exquisite cocktails and sumptuous wine, but most importantly great and memorable times with friends. On Friday and Saturday nights we have a rotating lineup of DJ's raising the tempo from 8pm til close.

The staff were rude. We stayed for a drink because nothing else was open. The bar tender was more concerned about whether he could toss a lime wedge over his shoulder and catch it in a glass than actually getting drinks made quickly. Mainstream boring cocktails and taps. Very generic but seems to draw the insta crowd.

My friends and I went in on a Saturday afternoon for sip and sushi. We were super excited as it had been cancelled a few times because of covid. We were not disappointed, the food, service and cocktails were great! Really happy with the whole experience, I think the cocktails were a bit weak, but understandable.

Six of us came to Morris Jones Restaurant & Cocktail Bar. We were very excited and looking forward to trying a lot of the Japanese food. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 there has been a lot of difficulty obtaining a lot of fish products from overseas, so a lot of the seafood menu items were not available, and they said they will be changing the menus the following week. We were also a little disappointed they were not offering happy hour drinks for that week, without a proper explanation. Nevertheless, we were given excellent service which outweighed the disappointment from the lack of happy hour

This was the worst bottomless brunch I have ever been to! The service was absolutely terrible, and not worth the money that we paid for this!
We waited half an hour for our first drinks, with the booking only being 2 hours. Every time we ordered drinks they never came, and we had to follow up our order multiple times. The food provided was not sufficient, and although the menu had vegetarian and Vegan options, we had to ask twice for this (as two people didn’t eat seafood).
Highly recommend going elsewhere if you are looking for a good bottomless brunch.

I have been here many times over the years, Hayden has created a very cool venue, so I was keen to come back after lockdown. Got a few beers with a mate, pity they got out order wrong, twice. No apologies. No wonder we got a booking last minute and it was quiet. Melbournians demand service. Sushi was nice tho.
Update: they charged me $186 for a $100 bill, but caught it luckily. Then on the receipt it says Peroni! Weird
