Staff are all so friendly and the food was great. You can order a few dishes to begin with and add on more later if you need. Cocktails are quite expensive but all of the food was amazing.

A large group for dinner last night and the service and food were amazing 🤩 We were required to get the $49 banquet but it was enough food for an army and definitely all delicious. They were able to accommodate for all dietary needs and the cocktails were even better. Amazing night

The place looks amazing and the staff where very nice. But the food has no taste it’s missing spices. We had to take the banquet as we where a big group. Most of the dishes was lacking flavor and sauce. Very disappointing.

Can’t rave about this restaurant enough.
Service = top notch.
Venue = unique but not to over the top.
Cocktails = different, so so yum and beautifully presented.
Food = out of this world good.
To add onto the food, we got a lot of the appetisers to share and each one was so flavourful and gave us that fusion blast that we wanted. It was an amazing night and I will for sure be back for more!

This is a must go in Melbourne! The menu is perfect for sharing or just taking yourself out for dinner. The food was fresh, full of flavour, diverse and yet had all the classics of an Asian fusion cuisine. Make sure you order the massaman curry and coconut rice! The cocktails tasted amazing and looked even better - my tip - grab yourself the bucket cocktail and don't share. The staff were wonderful and attentive which is a perfect match for the 'Instagram ready' venue. I can't wait to go back.

Service was excellent. But the food was good and bad. I like the chicken and prawn dumpling. My pork belly bao was so so. I didn't like my massaman curry. Tasteless for my palette. Seems like they cooked everything separately and just add the curry in the last minute when they receive an order. My beef didn't have any taste, so did the potatoes and vegies that came with it. I had more potatoes than the beef itself

Went to Rock Sugar with couple of girl friends and we had a great time! The cocktails were absolutely amazing! My favourite is the Rockstar Martini. Food was incredible too. The oysters, scallops, soft shell crabs and snapper.. It's hard to decide which dish was the highlight of the night as we loved them all! Will definitely return!

A nice trendy restaurant with indoor and outdoor courtyard seating.
Firstly we started off with the Fairy floss martini in peach. Nice, creative and sweet.
Tofu rice cracker has the crispiest cracker with the silkiest tofu with neoc nam sauce. Careful of the chillis as theyre quite spicy.
Sriracha butter corn on the cob. The juiciest and sweetest corn i've bitten into that . Perfectly paired with the shaved parmesan cheese and the dip compliments.
Sticky pork belly- sweet as honey and meat is so tender it just breaks apart. The sauce is perfect and pairs well with the cracker.
Warm cauliflower

Rockout with your cocktails out!
Prior to this visit, I went to Rock Sugar in the past for a friend’s birthday do, it was a fun experience – my non-foodie friends enjoyed the cocktails and nibbles. There is a good vibe to this place, they have some great music that leans to a younger, more affluent market.
Rock Sugar is on the quiet end of Malvern Road, so to the untrained eye, you would think it’s residential and posh art galleries, but alas, there is a little gem called Rock Sugar – that people know of, but you wouldn’t necessarily walk past if you’re not in the area.

IMO the mains are edibly average - we had canned pineapple in the pork bun and again in the curry! I thought the fad of adding canned pineapple to savoury dishes had passed since the 90s, maybe it's coming back. This is a case where fusion doesn't add to the traditional base flavours.
However service was friendly enough but drinks look better than they taste (my other half's fairy floss Martini is literally a piece of fairy floss with a tube of average tasting Martini, looks very insta worthy if that's the one reason you order it). The dessert donut burger with ice cream filling was however delicious
