Housed in the old Prahran Post Office built in 1928, Angus & Bon Channels New York hospitality establishments espousing casual grandeur. This stylish steak house and brunch hot spot, is raising the steaks south side! Our team is passionately devoted to wood fired cooking and is always experimenting with wood-grill flavours, even into salads and cocktails!

Our menu is designed to be low on pretension and big on freshness and flavour with beef sourced from only Australia's very best producers. The bar and restaurant, each with their own menus showcase the wood grill flavours, whether it is seared into an asparagus, fish or steak. Graze and fossick from shared plates and entres, or choose to nibble on some croquette perhaps or a plate of oysters.

Consistently high quality. The food is delicious, and beautifully presented. The space is elegant, the wait staff very friendly and helpful. We received excellent advice for the wine choice with our meal. Angus and Bon is great choice.

We had a beautiful anniversary dinner at A&B. The food totally delicious, well presented and all the staff team we’re super friendly.
Highly recommend to try the Burrata medium dish it’s so yummy!

Food was amazing! Would definitely come back in the future just for the food, however the service was incredibly slow, we received our food before our drinks (which sat at the bar for a good 10mins - at which point the beer was stirred by a bartender to make it look freshly poured).
Ladies toilet - the sanitary bin was overflowing...

Arguably one of the best steaks in Melbourne. I’ve had steak in rockpool, steer and other popular steak restaurants but none of them were as good as Angus and Bon. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare and the cuts were juicy and the cut were just the right amount marbling. The there’s the sides… the maple carrots were so appetizing and hand cut chips were the perfect balance of crunchiness and fluffiness of the potato. It’s been so good that once lockdown was lifted we came straight away in 2021 for my birthday and can’t wait to come back again!!! Highly recommend Angus and Bon

We are regular clients of Angus and Bon and can honestly say we’ve only ever had amazing meals and the best pints of Guinness this side of the Emerald Isle! The staff are delightful, polite and always so accommodating and efficient. Thanks so much always and looking forward to our next sitting with you!

I took my partner here for dinner and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of late at a restaurant. I have an onion and garlic intolerance and many places I have been to recently just do not understand what ‘fructose’ means. I always receive a ‘gluten’ free option which just tells me they don’t understand the different intolerances people have. It will always end up making me feel sick. It’s one of the reasons why I hate eating out.
We had a look and picked our food. The waiter who I believe was Meg, took our order and clarified with the kitchen if what I picked could

Loved the food we order the 220g fillet Mac and cheese and chicken tenders and pecan pie it was so good we went again the next day would highly recommend.
Was in the Rockpool a few weeks ago and I have to say Angus and Bon was far better and way less pricey one of the best steaks in Melbourne

Had dinner here last night and I don’t normally leave reviews but I was so impressed by the service of this restaurant I had to leave a review! I had a question about the cut of steak we ordered as I wanted to clarify what we ordered. The waitress and the manager were so helpful and patient, I was thoroughly impressed. Food was lovely and the service was second to none. Highly recommend.

First impression of the dining area, Great. It has plenty seats with dining and bar options. Staff interaction, Awesome. They are knowledgeable and gave us great suggestion.
The food, oohh...loved it! The grass fed scotch fillet with bernaise sauce was delish, while grain fed scotch with chimichurri sauce was champion. Its tenderness and the umami flavour just melted straight away. Do I want to come back? Definetely!

Been here twice (so far) and loved it both times. Think I need to come again soon, so much on the menu still to try. Got a great booth looking in to the kitchen, was fascinating to watch the chefs at work.

We went here Mother's Day lunch....service here is great...however the food are just average and the steak are a bit dry and burnt...
Dessert are very nice

Looking for an American style steakhouse in Australia? This is it. Even better with local beef. Great service, menu, bar, wine list, personality. In a vibrant city-south neighborhood. Glad we tried this place.

Great new place; the food is excellent. While there are a couple of places in town you can get a better steak at (and only a couple), A&B is much better value for money, and it's a more memorable place to go.

The service is great (remarkably so for such a new restaurant); very friendly and warm, attentive without intruding. The room is beautiful.

Will definitely be back. The only negative things were that the room is very loud (a bit of acoustic tile could go a long way), and it gets pretty warm back by the kitchen.

A rare 5 stars for this newly opened eatery in Prahran.
Stumbled on this while ambling our way down Chapel St.
Newly opened the menu is mainly around the wood fire grill.
We shared a lamb shoulder and a sirloin for 2 between four of us with sides of Mac n cheese and chips.
Couldn't fault a thing - lamb was awesome, steak tasty, sides so good we actually ordered another round of chips and onion rings.
Service was good, food was good, atmosphere good - no problem.

Worth a look.
