Nestled away on a quiet Launceston street, our heritage-listed, self-contained cottages for two are the perfect balance of luxury and cosiness. Each is uniquely and tastefully themed with just the right touch of nostalgia and old-world charm. The English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh cottages each pay homage to the property's rich history, whilst our Boudoir and Camelot simply whisk you away to another world.
Our accommodation is a little different to most - we sit somewhere between a bed & breakfast and a hotel. Our aim is to take the cold and stuffiness out of hotel accommodation and breathe a very homely, stylish and welcoming feel into our cottages, without being in our guests face like old-school bed & breakfast stays!

We came to Alice’s Cottages, Scottish and we were really shocked. We saw such beautiful photographs online and when we arrived we saw a couch with a hole in it and parts of wallpaper coming off. The space did not feel clean and we were disappointed. We felt uncomfortable and left. We didn’t hear from Alice’s Cottage even though we left a note. The other cottages here may be different and better, however the Scottish Cottage is not a relaxing and comfortable space.

Fabulous accomodation. We booked the Scottish and English cottages plus the Boudoir and our stay was wonderful. Each cottage was cosy, comfy, immaculately clean and packed full of character. Particularly loved… browsing the collection of old books, so much history to discover. The breakfast hampers were huge, with so much choice and went down a treat. Highly recommend Alice’s Cottages for a unique experience and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved our stay in the cottage from the amazing breakfast basket to the cheese and drinks as a welcome gift it was all perfect. It was so comfortable having seperate living/kitchen bedroom and bathroom but our favourite was the cosy lounge room with open fire place love love loved our stay

Stay was pleasant, but for all the online communication, we never actually spoke to a real person. Not a big fan of themed accommodation and this one wasted valuable space. It was comfortable, even plush, but the towel to soak up a leak in the bathroom basin was not cool (or changed overnight). Spas are a terrible waste of space, in this case leading to the toilet being in a “cupboard”? The smallest kitchen imaginable would work better with microwave safe bowls and the two coffee plungers were so mangled as to be unusable. And having to opt for rubbish to be removed is a bit “tick box “

Had a fantastic time at Alice’s Cottages. There were so many thoughtful touches in the cottage that made our stay really comfortable. The fire was set up ready to light and breakfast was ready in the fridge for the morning. I like the theme and I’m glad some of the historical items have a great home that can be enjoyed by travellers. Will be coming back new time we are in Launceston.

The Alice cottage is absolutely except our expectations! As soon as we enter the garden we can feel the old England vintage style. Lovely flowers and cute house. The room is just fantastic with all the details and those old but cute decors! I feel like in England as we stayed in the English cottage. The real fire place in the room is really cool. Air conditioning and hot water working well. Highly recommended

The Boudoir has become my go-to place when I have to stay overnight in Launceston. With it's French decor, 4-poster bed and spa bath, it's very feminine and romantic. While it's obviously designed to attract couples, I highly recommend it for solo female travellers who want to indulge in some personal pampering - I especially enjoy the complimentary port and cheese.
