We are your local Central Coast divorce lawyer. A marriage separation or obtaining a "divorce" is a straightforward legal process. However, once a divorce order comes into effect, and you have not reached a financial settlement or property settlement, there will be a time limit on applying for court-ordered settlement.
Following a breakdown of a relationship, you will need to decide how assets will be divided. We will help you understand what you are entitled to and formalise the Financial and Property agreement. A property settlement might also be referred to as a 'separation agreement, ' 'financial settlement' or 'divorce settlement.'
Although commonly referred to as 'child custody', this terminology is no longer used in legislation about parenting arrangements or disputes. Decisions about who cares for the child(ren), who they will live with and who makes the parenting decisions are determined according to the best interests of the child.

To say that I am forever grateful for what Cheryl and the team at Coppertree have done for my son and I would be an absolute understatement.
I had started my case with other firms and unfortunately I didn’t receive the service I was after. I was then prompted to head over and see Cheryl about my case to see what she could do for me.
