Good atmosphere but food quality has dropped - ordered spanner crab omelette and there was barely any crab it the dish, maybe 3 minuscule pieces, kept waiting to get the spanner moment, but it didnāt really happen, no chilli either? Bacon could also be fried crisp instead of heated to give it more of the āwowā this is why I like coming Oscar Cooper factor

Service was very friendly and personable.
Coffee was good, as it is almost everywhere in Melbourne.
Would give a 3.5 if I could, and if I'd ordered my companions meal I probably would have given a much higher score.
Unfortunately, I have to score based on my personal experience and I had the eggs Benedict which I could only describe as tiny for the price (2 eggs, some avocado and 2 hash browns).
Again, there are was nothing wrong with the quality of the food, so if you have a light appetite it might even be a positive.
But I'd think about bulking the plate with some inexpensive sides (spinach

We were at Cafe on 22/11 we were greeted by female staff member with face mask on her chin who didnāt ask for proof of being double vaccinated, have rules changed?? There was āsmallā QR code with no mask or vaccination mandate instructions?? Service & food was slow also my coffee was luke warm? Maybe the business have hiring shortages as last time the Cafe was able to open between lock down 5&6 we enjoyed our food etc? I was going to give Cafe 2 stars but maybe there are new owners or have staff issues? š·š¤

This is a great brunch venue. There is plenty of outdoor seating so you can sit and people watch.
The breakfast burrito was full of flavour, the hot sauce is served on the side so you can add as much or little heat as you want.
The oat milk here was not my favourite, it tasted watery. The filter coffee was great.
For us service was a clunky. Twice we ordered coffee and both times we had an issue (once they forgot a coffee, the second order took almost 20 minutes), not being in a rush I wasnāt angry at the wait, but it was noted.

Will not be returning here, ever!
We ordered 2 coffees which came out in pretty good time. The coffee was nice but the reason for the 1 star is because of the coffee.. if the coffee wasn't good.. this place would be worth -5 stars because the service was horrible.
AND! We waited 50 minutes before we decided to leave because our food still was not at our table. We saw in the time we had ordered, 2 other tables come in, sit down, order and get their food BEFORE us... who had already been waiting for our food long before they sat down. That is ridiculous. After nearly 50 minutes of waiting and still

Oscar Cooper is quite close to where I used to work and told Ozzy about it after lot of my friends recommended it to me.
The coffee at Oscar Cooper was outstanding and that kinda built a very high expectation for food.
Unfortunately, food was way beyond tart to handle. We just couldn't handle the sourness on the plate. Worst was the salt. Ugghhhh! Thank God portions were very small but what we paid seemed like a lot for the whole experience.
Never going to recommend to anyone.

First time I visited, as I booked a table for my birthday for the 4th July 🇱🇷🎆 & I was very impressed! Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food, prosecco & coffee & staff were flexible to cater for my… needs. I landed a table near the open fire 🔥 , which made my day! I’m looking forward to returning to this very beautiful cafe worth putting at the top of your list of recommendations! Thank you OC, I loved my first time experience! Thank you for making my birthday memorable & a hit 👊🏽🥳💗🌟

I knew there was somewhere I'd forgotten to review from our trip to Melbourne!
We made a quick stop at Oscar Cooper for a drinks/rest break after lots of walking. The decor is great and it was so nice to sit inside but have the breeze from the open windows. I had a glass of wine and ogled the toastie menu -Ā I wasn't hungry but I'll have to remember to go back here next time we're in Melbourne. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I liked the relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Was only here for a quick drink, so this isn't going to be a massive review. In terms of look and feel this feels very Melbourne, with exposed brick and tiled walls, a nice open atmosphere with big windows that lets you look out onto Greville Street, and relaxed friendly staff. There is a good selection of food and drinks, and they even have a fancy jaffle list!
The missing star is only really because I didn't get a chance to have the food - if that matches everything else then it's likely to jump up. Well worth a look.

We're not locals and we don't come to Oscar Cooper's every other day. We're casual visitors to Melbourne from Canberra but had breakfast here by accident on one visit and now whenever we can we pop in for a great brekkie served by polite engaging staff who obviously care about their food, service and business.
Eggs benny is awesome and the Breakfast Bruscetta (mine with chorizo hers without) is a clear winner.
The staff make us feels like local regulars each time we visit.

This place is great. Great drinks, food, and really friendly staff. Came here for Saturday brunch at about 1pm, had to wait about 20min for a table.
We had cocktails while we waited (bloody marys, espresso martini, brekkie bramble), all of which were great. The brekkie bramble tastes like a jolly rancher.
Then we sat down, and had eggs benedict, and the poached eggs on bruschettas. We also ordered a sparkling wine bottle/orange juice to make mimosas.
And then had a nutella donut mmmmmm....
Everything was great. Probably one of the best brunch experiences I ever had in Melbourne, start to finish

Hats off to the guy who is the central manager of customers, he was exceptionally good. We came to this busy haunt during January 2015 for a brunch with friends that included an infant and a toddler. The guy who was the maƮtre d' has to be gunning for the accolade of No.1 in Melbourne, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and I really appreciate that he let us sit before the full party had arrive while being conscientious about ensuring the party already seated weren't interrupted. He was great.
Loved that the restaurant was pet friendly, this is so important for people

This place is fast becoming one of my favourite places to hang out while travelling through the fab Greville Street on a weekend.
They have breakfasts AND lunch up until 3:30pm. It really is the place to be if you want good food and would like to engage in some people watching.
I ordered the zucchini slice which was not quite what I was expecting but definitely delicious. It came served with a light garden salad and an almost excessive lashing of balsamic. I had a strawberry fields juice to go with it which was also nice.
My partner ordered the calamari encrusted with wasabi which also was

Great service, staff could not have been more helpful. The kitchen was a tad slow bringing our lunch order, nearly causing a parking problem. Food was excellent, though it would be nice to be given butter for the toast (with mushrooms) and a little less salt on the fries (with tasty lamb wrap) please.

Cozy corner cafe in the heart of Greville Street, one of my favorite nooks of Prahran. Excellent coffee, the best on Greville I'd say. Even the humble iced latte packs refreshing punch on a February scorcher.
Our table ordered the spicy slow-cooked lamb and halloumi sandwich (an absolute winner), the breakfast burrito, french toast, pork ragu and baked eggs with ricotta. There was very little talking while eating, which is always a good sign. Fresh juices hit the mark as well.
The smallish interior is extended onto the sidewalk in summer, with 4 tables easily seating six each, shaded by

Confession: I hate making my own coffee. And since my new office is a stone's throw from Oscar Cooper, I let these lovely folks relieve me of the efforts on a regular basis.
OC may be the new kid on Greville Street, but they're a serious contender for Best Cuppa on the block. Equally amazing are their selection of juices. (Try the Purple Passion or Buffalo Soldier.) They also make a mean Bellini until 5pm if you're so inclined.
As for food, well, let's just say I've sampled my share. The wagyu beef burger the first time I had it was out of this world. Definitely try

Great little cafe serving brilliant food. For once, I didn't actually taste the coffee as I just had one, but the juices were very bright and flavoursome.
The menu is full of great options and after a bit of decision anxiety, we ordered the breakfast burrito and pancakes with lemon curd.
My boyfriend raved about his amazing smelling burrito and insisted he could have eaten another one. I had the pancakes with lemon curd. So damn good.
Definitely worth seeking out.

Oscar Cooper appeared on my radar quite recently when I paid a visit to the offices of Dos Blockos craft brewers - watch out for a blog post coming soon on this Prahran hot spot. Located just off Chapel Sreet on Greville Street (a few shops past Ladro and across the road from St Edmonds) this under-construction venue was quickly getting ready for business.
