Frankie's is open everyday serving up fabulous coffee, hot food, lunches and take home meals. We love seeing all our regulars each day, some twice a day. It means the world to us. This is an updated version of the beloved original 2008 cookbook of the same name. It offers cooks a definitive guide to meals for every occasion and a fresh look at everyday favourites.
We are thrilled to be included as part of Broadsheet's Best New Cafes of 2017 - read about it here. The reviews from Good Food in The Age and Broadsheet have been wonderful so we hope you will stop by to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Owned by food writer Michele Curtis, her passion for the best local and seasonal ingredients is evident on the menu and by the appearance of the take away food.

Best staff. Best food. Classiest operation. Everything about Frankie's is a class above - and it still feels relaxed, casual and local! Melbourne is incredibly lucky to have a cafe like this - something with so much heart and soul, and right near the beach too. Everything is spot-on. Thanks, Frankie's!

Frankies is the best and, as such, is very popular, particularly with locals. It's nothing to have to wait for a table and, as it's so good, that's fine! The coffee is the best you can find and the menu has… something for everyone. You have the choice of a cozy inside space or, a nice outdoor table. The staff work hard to provide a welcoming, friendly experience. We can't fault Frankies, their menu and consistent delivery of friendly service. We enjoy our (almost) weekly experience. Dogs are welcome!

What appeared to be a nice place was spoiled by the staff (2 )
We were enjoying coffees and food, the we were approached and asked are we ok...we said yes the the bill plonked on the table.
At no other coffee shop in Melbourne have we been treated like this. Then 10 mins later another staff member came and said everything ok. We were asked to… vacate the table. As it was close to lunch time we were both unbe known to the staff going to order a light lunch.
I hope the owner of the Frankies Cafe reads this as we have both told at least 14 friends never to set foot in the door.
