Services
Caravans/camper trailers/vehicles are hired on a per day basis. Caravans/camper trailers/vehicles can be picked up or dropped off by the Hirer from Great Rates Australia, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, from Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays). Late pickup or early return does not entitle the Hirer to a refund of the unused portion of the rental day.
For you touring comfort and safety, each of our JAYCO Caravans and Camper Trailers is fitted with an approved 'electric braking system'; which works in tandem with the towing vehicle (ie, your car). If your car is not already wired for electronic brakes, we will supply you with the contact details of a qualified installer who can fit a suitable, low-cost electric braking modification to your car.
It's great to have hot water when you are camping. Whether for a shower or simply to wash the dishes, having a hot water service on board is a great option in a caravan. More often than not, hot water systems stop working because of a fault in the gas or power supply. If your hot water service runs on gas, your other gas-powered appliances can give you a clue as to whether gas is reaching your system.
These toilets are sealed so you simply need to remove the cassette, take it to the appropriate dump station, normally hidden away somewhere in the caravan park away from the public. Ensure that you have the right amount of chemical and at least a litre of water inside the cassette otherwise you might create an odour inside the caravan.

My Husband and I towed a small Jayco caravan doing the Great Ocean Road and back through the Grampians. First time and the handover was simple and problems. We had a great time and found the whole experience very enjoyable. The van was very clean and well equipped, all we had to take some food, clothes, bedding and towels. We will definitely be hiring again some time. Eyre Peninsula next time :)

We hired a caravan from Great Rates Australia for 14 days traveling over 3,000 kms up to Uluru and back. The staff were very friendly and easy to deal with from the initial phone calls and during the hand over process.
Everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and safe trip was provided. Gary gave a very detailed hand over to make sure we felt comfortable with putting up and putting down the camper trailer, handy manual covered all aspects so well that a novice or experienced caravaner would have no trouble operating the caravan.
We will definitely look to hire again for our next camping

We hired a van to try out.. My wife and I traveled to Noosa and back and had a ball.. So much we have ordered our new van.. We hired a Jayco Starcraft caravan from Great Rates Australia last year for a couple of months to go on our dream holiday. Garry and the staff at Great rates made our experience memorable. The booking process was easy and Garry spent almost an hour showing us how to use the van during handover.We found the Van was clean and well maintained and I would recommend them highly.
We enjoyed the experience so much we have booked our next trip already.

We hired a van for 5 weeks and travelled to Darwin and back down the west coast, it was just perfect and the service is absolutely spot on. We looked at buying a van but then we can only use it for a few weeks a year so we figured by the time we pay insurance, registration and depreciation it was very economical just to hire the van. So glad we did the experience was just perfect. We can not praise this business for their great hospitality and the service that they provide.

Hired a their 17ft starcraft for a week in January, on pickup Gary spent an hr briefing me on the van , the van suited our needs , drop off was quick & easy. We cleaned the van as per hire terms & reported any problems or damage that we found. We will use them again , their rates are good, they are easy to deal with. Very happy with their service.

We had a fantastic experience with Great Rates – they enabled us to take the trip of a lifetime! Gary & Pam were helpful and very accommodating. We were beginner caravanners and they really helped us to feel comfortable before we set off for 9 months. Well priced and lovely people to deal with – highly recommend!
