Services
We are only 450m from the Fortitude Valley Train Station and the Brunswick Street at Water Street Bus Stop 6 is right outside the shop door. There is also metered street parking just around the corner on Water and Warry Streets. It really depends on the time required to complete the tattoo, the size, style, placement and detail involved.

Got my tattoo created and done by the legendary @timrix .
This place was understanding, relaxed and Tim was so good about the design, placement and the normal anxiety of a lengthy sitting.
Had a chance to take breaks when I needed them and got to catch up on old times. It was a pretty cool experience overall.

I started going into Tradition to get laser removal done by the amazing Casey Cantlin (awesome human btw) and I am now 3 sessions in and despite the pain I always look forward to going into the studio!!

Basically they tossed me around for over a month, then when they finally selected an artist (Jon) he couldn’t be bothered to look at my references until the night before our appointment. He was an hour and a half late and refused to listen to what I had planned for MY tattoo and clearly got an attitude for not getting his way with a CUSTOMER. All in all $500 for something I didn’t even ask for and 3 hours of passive aggressiveness. I don’t think I’ve ever been more ripped off. I didn’t know it was possible to be so unprofessional.

If you are in or near Brisbane and want new ink, or if you are a newbie, this is the place to go. Tradition is by the far the best shop I've been in 30+ years. Talented, friendly artists who know what they are doing. Know what you want but listen to their advice on turning a picture into a tattoo. I highly recommend this place especially Damon and/or Hayden.

Got my first tattoo with Tim recently, and I can't recommend Tim and the other staff at Tradition enough. All the staff were welcoming, accommodating, and made me feel comfortable amongst the nerves of getting tatted for the first time! My tattoo is beautiful, and the instructions for aftercare were thorough and easy to understand. Thanks so much guys, I couldn't have asked for a better first tattoo experience! :)
