We highly appreciate patient to follow up with their results, to allow essential disclosure and explanation of their results and further treatment plan. It is the policy of this practice to have all patients return for a consultation for their results. Only in certain circumstances the nurse will be authorised to give results over the phone.
It's that time of year again! Your heart is obviously very important, and an excellent thing to keep an eye on, but October is the month to remind you how you can jump-start it in an emergency! Shoctober is also known as Defibrillator Awareness Month. A defibrillator can make or break an emergency situation - survival rates for a sudden cardiac arrest can increase by up to 55% if the first shock a patient receives is from a bystander.

My usual doctor has left to study. So thought I would try this centre as they have female doctors. I needed a papsmear and another request. The doctor stood backed into the corner and had my chair to the other side of the room, when I pulled my mask out to talk clearer..she too quickly asked me to be sure I leave my mask on. She treated me like I was diseased..so I left. Wasn't even in the room for 2 minutes. Easy money made for her.

My 20 year old son made an appointment to have 5 stitches removed, the doctor could only take out 3 as the other 2 needed some more time, was charged $80 for this and told to make another appointment for the other 2. I called to make the next appointment and was told that there would be another $80 fee to take out the remaining 2 stitches. The receptionist was extremely rude and said that if he needed to come back he would be charged again at that full rate as they are not a bulk billing clinic or he could go somewhere else to have them removed. Unethical and money grabbing, will not be back.

Okay I was told that I was gone get to the bulk billing doctor so I booked an appointment and after finishing my appointment the lady on the counter was like your bill is this much amount and I asked how come I was told on the fone when I booked my appointment that I was going to be bulk bill but the charged me a amount which I am not happy about it and this shows a poor management. I am not happy patient. If they would have told me that they were going to charge I would have gone to different place but unfortunately they told me they were not going to charge and they charged me not at all happy

The staff at kontiki are very welcoming and friendly. They the take the time to get to know you and take genuine interest. The practice is clean and modern. With large TV mounted on the walls to pass the time. Dr Kenny is a great doctor always listens well, examines throughly and provides effective treatment and advice. We are happy to have found a sound family medical practice since leaving Cairns. We highly recommend kontiki to anyone.
