This is my favorite restaurant in Crowie, had the Parpadelle Chicken (oooh my word, so much garlicky chicken!!!!) & Chia Crusted Salmon Fillet with a side of the creamiest mash potato, never disappoints, the Mezze plate was also a huge hit, these guys just know how to cook REAL food, not a smear of puree this & dribble of sauce that or 'deconstructed anything' anywhere, food without the bs factor, great job!

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 8 years and have never been treated so appallingly as we were tonight. We ordered a sirloin steak at $46 which I found quite tough and which my wife spat out as being so tough. I complained but was told the steak was fine and that we had to pay for it. I was told the police would be called if i didn't pay and again said I would pay the bill minus the steak. Whilst Dennis and Tim backed off their father said to go and not to come back again. Are this family so arrogant now that they feel they can treat their customers with contempt?

They’ve been around for over 50 years now so you know they’re doing a lot of things right to go that distance! By day it’s a café and restaurant and in the evening they are a bar and restaurant. Covering the full day is clever, but hard work, especially doing it well. They clearly do manage this though - with 50 years as evidence.

I had high expectations when I sat down at Xenos which weren’t met. The antipasto plate was alright, but I expected more. The Caesar salad was also alright but nothing too special. The slow roasted lamb looked nice and fell off the bone. The meat itself tasted alright but lacked a wow factor (I’ll come back to this). Overall the meal wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. It was a forgettable experience. I was going to rate this 3 stars but it’s a 2 because of the bill. I can say this is one time I got bill shock. I triple checked the items because the serving size and quality of the meal didn’t
