Birches ELC is a family owned and operated childcare provider. Our centre philosophy is influenced by Reggio Emilia, providing children with an environment that aids in their learning 'through play'. Children are encouraged to ask questions, explore, investigate and just be children, through positive interactions that evoke confidence in an environment that is nurturing.
The Reggio Emilia philosophy is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education, which values the child as strong, capable, and resilient, rich with wonder and knowledge. The philosophy rides on the coat tails of the innate curiosity of children and aims to assist them with understanding their world and who they are in it.
Birches ELC is a privately owned childcare centre and kindergarten tucked away in a tranquil setting at 90 Brunt Road, Beaconsfield. Our purpose-built state of the art early learning centre is surrounded by abundant gardens and natural play spaces that offer a truly organic learning environment in a convenient location.
Birches at Bunyip is a family owned and operated childcare centre and kindergarten. It is a bespoke, state of the art early learning centre located in the heart of Bunyip, a short 100 metre walk from the town centre. It is a new, beautiful, light filled, organic and homely learning environment in a convenient position for families in the district.
The Australian Government is committed to ensuring that Australian families can access affordable, flexible, and high-quality childcare. The Government provides several subsidies and programs to help with the cost of childcare, with the Child Care Subsidy being the main type of assistance that most families will use.

As a new family in Officer and starting childcare during this pandemic I honestly could not be happier with Birches. From the way the staff have approached wearing a mask upon entering the centre in a non invasive way still makes little chloe feel safe. The approaches the owners and staff have taken to making sure we're all safe could not be more appreciated. I'm also really at ease and comforted consider my anxiety with all the regular communication coming home every week it's really put me and hubby at ease knowing she is in great hands.

Both my 4 year and 18 month old attend birches, and we've been so happy with the transition into a new centre for our 4 year old, as well as starting daycare for our 18 month old. All of the educators have been fantastic and have done such an amazing job during such a tough year.

Our experience with Birches ELC could not be more positive. All of the staff are lovely and take such good care of the kids. The facilities are amazing and it’s like coming home to a beautifully designed country home. The outdoor space is huge and I love that they have rabbits and chickens for the kids to grow up with.

Absolutely love everything about Birches, when I first moved to the area I passed by and often thought to myself “I need to check out that place to send my kids to”, took a few months and I finally did it.

My 16 month old daughter started at Birches at the beginning of the year and we could not be happier. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the communication is brilliant. My daughter happily goes straight to her educators who she has built a bond with and she is learning new skills everyday.

Birches is a beautiful centre with lovely staff. There were some tears when Nathan started attending but now he has settled nicely and enjoys it very much, he especially loves the outdoors. The educators have demonstrated great care towards the children, giving us parents the peace of mind. Highly recommended!

A child care centre with unrivalled charm and incredibly attentive and accommodating educators. The staff and centre director are all very kind and make it easy for children to settle quickly here. They are also very open and honest with their communication, which is critical in a time like this. If you're considering a centre in the area, I highly recommend you book a tour and experience Birches for yourself.

I couldn't be happier with how warm and inviting Birches have been since the very first time we walked through the building. ALL of the teachers and staff are amazing. I never thought I would be so comfortable leaving my daughter but they definately made it easy.
It is just lovely walking in as everyone has a smile on their face and and no one is ever too busy to stop and say hi.
