I recently sold my office building through Tom Maule and Nick Meadows at Gorman Commercial and they did a great job, despite the COVID lockdown. Tom and Nick looked after the entire sale process in a calm, professional manner - all at arm's length as I live in Queensland and was unable to travel to Melbourne during the sales campaign, thanks to COVID. Despite this, Tom and Nick handled everything very professionally and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Over 6 years we had very little need to converse with the managing agent. There was the odd issue that required maintenance which was attended to reasonably promptly. However when the lease expired recently we vacated and it took them 6 weeks to return the security deposit (they had 10 days under the terms of the lease).
The property manager and assistant manager did not have the ability to reconcile the accounts correctly. I was constantly having to explain and show them that in fact we had paid all that was required (including deferred rental payments) and it wasn't until I spent hours doing
