Thurgoona Pre-School
At Thurgoona Preschool we provide children and families with a nurturing and supportive preschool education and care, that enables them to experience 'Belonging, being and becoming'. We understand that early childhood is a vital period in children's learning and development and provide opportunities to maximise children's potential and develop a future success in learning.

We pride ourselves on our beautiful natural environments, both indoors and outdoors. We are fortunate to have a vast array of natural and educational resources. Our educators are always on the lookout for innovative ideas and resources to add to our programs and environments, e.g. Our qualified, dedicated and experienced educators develop and implement a quality preschool program based on the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
Services
Thurgoona Preschool is proudly a community based, not for profit preschool providing a high quality preschool program for children in the Thurgoona and surrounding area. We are partially funded by the NSW Government through the NSW Department of Education. The preschool can also apply for funding to support the inclusion of children with disability or additional needs.
At Thurgoona Preschool we have qualified, experienced educators who demonstrate a dedication to working with the children at our preschool. Our educators are involved with the children, supporting their play and investigations as facilitators and co-learners.

Our educators demonstrate a passion for working in early childhood education and care and furthering their knowledge through attending in-servicing, relevant meetings and readings, to ensure that advances in research-based evidence and new understandings gained in early childhood practices continue to inform and improve their performance as educators.
Thurgoona Preschool currently operates five days per week and operates as per the NSW Department of Education school terms (41 weeks per year). The preschool is open between 8.30 and 4pm, with the preschool program operating between 8.30am and 4.00pm for the full day groups and 8.45am to 12.45pm for the 3 year old groups.
You can contact the preschool via phone or email or make an appointment to come in during our preschool office hours of 9am to 3pm on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. A confidential waiting list is maintained at the preschool. Families are advised to register their child on the waiting list as soon as possible after the child's first birthday.
Once your child's name has been entered on the waiting list it is your responsibility to ensure the director is advised of any change of address, telephone number or temporary absence to avoid missing out on an offer of enrolment. If you wish to remove your child's name from the waiting list, please inform the Preschool.

Report
This pre school costs more than others in the area and provides a below standard early education compared to other preschools. Their unwillingness to discuss issues and listen to concerned parents that aren't on the "committee" was worrying. Our child so far has had more progression back in a daycare than here.
Highly recommended that you investigate other preschools and options before going here.
