Springdale Heights Pre-School is a community based not for profit pre-school that has been in operation since 1979. We are committed to providing a play-based educational program with experiences based on individual and group interests, strengths and abilities. Our program allows time for both quiet and active play, time for individual choices and group experiences.
We believe that children learn best through play and that children are active learners with unlimited potential. We have expansive natural grounds that are inviting, secure and are regularly maintained and upgraded. Opened in 1979, Springdale Heights Pre-School has been serving hundreds of families in the Albury, Wodonga and surrounding regions for over 30 years. We're conveniently located 2 minutes from the freeway, less than a minute from the nearest primary school, less than 5 minutes from most of Thurgoona and Lavington.
Springdale Heights Pre-School's Philosophy and practices are strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia Approach to education. The image we have of each child is an integral part of the Reggio Emilia approach. Each child is viewed and infinitely capable, creative and intelligent. The role of educators is to support these qualities and challenge the children.
