From Sans Souci go south over the Captain Cook Bridge, past Officeworks and the Caltex service station. Sydney has a number of toll roads. Paying these road tolls is the responsibility of the renter, failure to do so will result in an infringement and administration fee of $30. Some of Sydney's toll roads do not have a cash option; they can only be paid for electronically. This allows you to register your rental vehicle for a visitor's pass for the specific period of your rental.
Discount Car Rentals does not service Melbourne at this time. We are looking for a representative for this area. Please email bookings@discountcar.com.au to register your interest. We recommend Airport rent a car for this location. They offer very good rates on car rental and minibus hire in the Melbourne Area.
Exit the Domestic Arrivals. As you exit you will see a crossing to your left hand side. Cross over to the other side of the road where the other car rental companies are. Once you get there, you will see a Big Board with arrows on it saying Public Pick Up Area. Follow the arrows all the way into the Public Pick Up Area and a driver will pick you up.

My partner booked a truck for our upcoming move, to be picked up on a Saturday morning at 8am from Taren Point. After arriving at 8, the place was closed. Nobody showed up until 8:20am to open the rental place, and then the man working there proceeded to serve every other person who walked into the place after my partner, even though we had booked in advance. We didn't get our truck until 9 o'clock- an entire hour after we needed pick up.

I hired a pantec truck for one day. It already had many dents and scratches on the pantec, and the person hiring did some random scribbling on the hiring form to confirm their existence and for me to sign. When I returned the truck, without any accident during my hiring time, I was told that the scratches were worse that when I picked it up in the morning. They are trying to charge me for repair costs and demurrage. I am now going through the process of recovering my security deposit, but fortunately I have available very good professional advice.
