Pei Lei Wushu Association offers Tai Chi classes in Sydney. Tai Chi, more correctly known as Taijiquan, is a traditional Chinese exercise and martial art practice composed of flowing and graceful movements. Tai Chi Quan can be translated as "Supreme Ultimate Fist" or "Two Extremes Boxing" and focuses on calming the mind and using mental intention, body mechanics and internal energy to drive its techniques.
Pei Lei Wushu Association provides Bagua classes in Sydney, Australia. Bagua Zhang (Eight Trigram Palm) is part of the internal family of Chinese martial arts which also includes Tai Chi and Xingyi Quan. Like its sister arts, Bagua emphasises relaxation, structure and internal body mechanics over brute strength and pure physicality.
Thankyou to everyone for coming to our 25th Anniversary Open Day celebration in Marrickville. Last week, Pei Lei Wushu athletes travelled to Brisbane to take part in the 2019 National Championships, competing in Tai Chi, Wushu and Traditional Kung Fu categories.
With the high winds in Sydney on Saturday morning, several of our athletes had to deal with flight cancellations and delays that threatened to derail them from participating in the event, but thanks to the amazing efforts of Sherman, leading a six hour drive for six members of the team from Sydney Airport all the way to Mount Gravatt with minimal stops, our full team was able to take the field on Sunday morning.
