John Oliver started selling motorcycles at Holland Park in Brisbane in 1971, then in 1974 starting his own Yamaha dealership at Eight Mile Plains. 1978 saw the opening of Moorooka Yamaha. Over the following 35 years, John, in partnership, built one of the largest motorcycle and most successful retail groups in Australia with franchises for just about every brand of motorcycle on the Australian market.
Michael has over 20 years experience in the industry ranging from a qualified technician and roles in parts, accessories, sales, finance and management. Michael has competed in 5 ISDE's around Europe and South America as part of the Australian Enduro Team and represented QLD in 10 A4DE's. He is a father of two, a husband to Rebecca, and his interest's include jet skiing, mountain biking and he hopes to add surfing to the list.
Our Service Department is located just 50m away from the dealership on Ipswich Road. This fantastic new space allows our fully qualified service technician team to expand and our customers to have a designated drop off and pick up zone. This is where you can park your motorcycle and discuss any mechanical concerns or questions with Sam, our workshop manager.

I recently purchased a motorcycle from here and the team was fantastic. They allowed me to test ride a few motorcycles in a relaxed environment. In particular Rohan who offered genuine helpful advice and didn't make me feel pressured to buy something that didn't suite my needs. He knew his bikes!

Booked in for a tyre replacement over the phone.. What can I say about my experience? Well they accommodated my needs with out argument or excuses. That was a plus for me. My first contact was with Michael Oliver at the Service Department. Pleasant, friendly, accommodating. A Happy Chappy. He took me to visually checked the correct tyre prior to… fitment Chris took over from that point to do the deed then did a test run. In the interim I had a chat to Micheal re possible future service requirements. As a result I managed to meet some of the service staff. Well what a great bunch of fellas

I have been a triumph owner and dealing with Oliver’s for a few years now, sometimes I just stop in to have a look around and they give their time and help even when I’m just dreaming. I really enjoy visiting the shop. They are always happy to help no matter what department I visit. I have purchased parts, accessories and had my bikes serviced here and they have always looked after me.
I purchased a helmet a few years ago and they organised 2 different brands and different sizes for me to try on to make sure I got exactly what I wanted
