The Hawkesbury Region (Richmond & Windsor) is recognized by historians as one of Australia's third settlements. The first fleet's priority was to grow their own food to feed the fledging colony and the Hawkesbury's rich soils, river access and proximity to Sydney Cove provided the perfect conditions for a new settlement.
Discovered via the Hawkesbury River only one year after the first arrived the Region has retained many of its original buildings which create a character and charm throughout the small townships in the area. The Windsor Terrace Motel have comfortable accomodation. You can enjoy the perfect accommodation for your holiday here.

Welcome to the Hawkesbury Valley a country community just one our northwest of Sydney with a population of 65,000. Originally the home of the Darug community, it was discovered by Governor Phillip in the 18th Century, and was one of Australia's earliest colonial settlements The rich fertile floodplains stretching along the Hawkesbury River provided then, and still today, much of Sydney's fresh produce.

We stayed here 3 weeks ago and the doona had what looked like earwax and stains. We stayed here last night in the exact same room and the earwax was STILL THERE!!!! and they use a flimsy piece of wood that covers the hole in the wall facing the hallway that isn’t even nailed properly and anyone could look in. Oh and there was a cockroach that greeted us at the door of our room. I’m appalled at this place. It should be 1 star.

Very disappointed. Requested a ground floor but a second floor was booked. Had to request a ground room again at check in.
Carpet not vacuumed. Found plastic in my bed. Bath linen was atrocious. Wish I could post pictures.
We booked & paid for 2 nights.
We decided not to stay the second night due to the state of the room. After many attempts to get a refund, we were refused.
This place needs some serious love 😳

There is adequate parking. Staff are friendly. There is wine and beer available . The building is old but in a good location, and the upstairs rooms offer river views. The rooms themselves are dated but clean. The biggest problem was the bed, with a highly uncomfortable sagging inner coil spring mattress that did not encourage good sleep. Price is reasonable.
