Melville house is a delightful home-away-from-home with unique character. I booked just for an overnight stay but still was given an upgrade after a cancellation to a lovely room with charming decor, luxurious bed and garden views. Very quiet. I was sorry I didn't have time to make use of the pool and other facilities, they looked inviting.

Only here for 10 minutes and already blown away. Helen is a wonderful host. Strong, assertive, no nonsense Woman. The House is a old stately home. It’s is absolutely gorgeous. We feel welcome and privileged to stay here. The price? Absolutely unbeatable, and unbelievable. Don’t stay anywhere else, it’s that simple!

Stayed with my partner their last night and it was perfect. The room was very comfortable with own bathroom ensuite. Beautiful large guest home with an amazing pool and well maintained grounds.
Our host Helen was very knowledgeable and cooked us a wonderful hot breakfast of perfect bacon eggs n sausages on toast, with hot coffee, which made us feel very welcome.Would definitely stay there again.we loved it !
