Hills Neurological Rehabilitation began operating in early 2018, in response to increasing need for targeted Neurological Physiotherapy in our community. We are committed to providing expert physiotherapy treatment and advice to people living with neurological disease or injury in Perth's eastern hills and surrounds.

Clients have a choice between clinic-based and home-based therapy. Our Physiotherapist with considerable experience and expertise in Neurological Physiotherapy. Strong links and communication channels with medical and allied health professionals, as well as with clients and their families. Caren Pearce has a passion for Neurological Rehabilitation and almost 20 years experience working in the Neurosciences field in public health.
Services
Our clinic in Glen Forrest is equipped with a height adjustable neuro treatment plinth, parallel walking bars, floor mats and a range of other equipment to suit neurological conditions. Treatment focuses on facilitation of optimal posture and movement, utilising specialised handling and facilitation techniques central to the Bobath Concept of neurological rehabilitation.
Individuals, their Medical Practitioner (GP or Specialist), Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist can refer to this program. All participants require prior assessment by our Physiotherapist, to confirm suitability. It is recommended that participants be able to walk at least 10m unaided (without walking stick or frame).
Vestibular symptoms which accompany central disorders such as stroke and multiple sclerosis. Caren Pearce, is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation and has over 15 years clinical experience in this area of physiotherapy.

She has expertise in the management of both peripheral (inner ear) and central (brain) vestibular dysfunction including repositioning maneuvres for BPPV; and prescription of gaze stabilistion, balance retraining and habituation exercises.Located in Glen Forrest, our clinic is equipped with a standardised testing environment and specialised occulomotor and balance equipment.
