We had a breakfast.. holy Avo? what is Holy about it?
Avocados are $1 each these days.. it was almost 2 avocados smashed on 2 bread loaf 🥖.. 3 cm thick layer of avo. Bread was so old and soggy that you could not cut with knife..also who adds sweets to the avocados. You could drizzle few drops of lemon juice to cut through the oily taste.
Let’s talk about kale.. it was dried in the oven and we were sitting outside and leaves flew from my plate to the road.. you can’t cook healthy food by oven dry. Kale is very gentle and soft and if you dry the leaves in oven on 200 degree what is healthy

I have heard that the wonderful staff don't get to keep their tips. The tips go to the owner. This is a very upsetting situation for both staff and customers. The place thrives due to the energy, efficiency and good humour of its staff. They receive standard hospitality rates for the terrific work they do. The least management could do would be to recognise their value and allow them to keep their tips. That money given by customers is meant for the staff. Not the owner. He should rectify this.

Very open space and very sweet staff. The shakshouka was very tasty and the bread was so crispy. The carpaccio crepe was also crispy, the inside was so delicious, having gooey cheese and tomato inside of it. The poached egg was also so well cooked, and it popped out a shot of egg yolk which was very fun and exciting to see. And the raw cocoa hot chocolate with cinnamon and almond milk. Sooo soothing. Very comforting and warm.

A group of 4 of us went to Girdlers at DEE Why for lunch today. Our orders took a long time to come out which was strange as the place wasn’t that busy. My meal was forgotten completely!!! No apologies from staff. The staff are just way too cool for me. Obviously their minds are not on the customers. I’m not going back.

THE VEGAN GALETTES HAVE TO BE REVIEWED. I had one very good ( chocolate/banana) before covid and came back twice from far as I can not have dairy and love galettes . Unfortunetely the last 2 were way too thin, hard and dry. I could not eat them. You have to review the way it is made by the cook . I was very disappointed. Please have a look at my feedback and check the problem... I really liked the first one I ate. I even went to congratulate the senior chef who prepared it. It can be done.
Cheers

Girdlers Dee Why has become one of our favourite brunch places when up north. Tons of healthy options as their menu is primarily gluten free, organic, and vegan friendly. Definitely recommend the holy avo, pancakes, and their prosciutto crepe. Always love the ambience as it's filled with cute dogs, and the staff are always chirpy and friendly. Can get busier later in the morning, so would recommend going earlier when they open. It's right by the beach as well which is always nice.

Servive was terrible! (Dee Why). We drove half an hour to come to the cafe for lunch. On arrival there was a sign saying 'please wait to be seated' so that is what we did. After 5 mins with not even an acknowledgement some other people came and just sat at the free table. I approached what looked like the manager and told him our situation and his… was response was that he couldn't help it people do what they want and in an unfriendly manner gestured towards another table. There was no apology and he was quite rude so obviously I took my business else where.

Such a reliable breakfast spot with top notch food. everything on the menu is pretty overpriced (but we are in sydney so no surprises there) but the portions are generous and the service is lovely. the wait staff kept handing all my plates and drinks to me directly instead of putting on the table though which was pretty weird.

I really love this little organic cafe - don't let the rating get me wrong on that. The food is beautiful and I will still go back as the convenience is unbeatable.. However today I had a less pleasant experience. I live just around the corner and stop in very often for a take away kombucha on my way to the beach. Today I went for that and a almond milk capp as well as I am studying. I didn't have my first sip of the capp until I was already home and noticed it was unavoidably burnt. I almost dumped it and went on with my day but figured why not walk down to bring the burnt one in and

Cute ocean side cafe, perfect for some breakfast/ brunch or coffee and a treat. Healthy options available, the açai bowls looked amazing! I went for Mexican tacos, which were delicious, with chicken and mango and a caramel nut slice for afterwards. We sat outside and had a view of the beach. Although only visiting Australia on holiday, I looked at the other cafes they have in the city, so that I can go again as the food was so fresh and delicious! Plenty of gluten free and dairy free options for those that follow that eating plan. Staff were very friendly and food was well presented. I would definitely

I feel like this is the place the cool kids hang out at. The smoothies, fancy and chill plating and the decor - it's everything you expect from a cafe that's beachside. Don't be surprised to find a few surfers in their boardies chilling on the sofa seats with their blonde surfy hair and.. You get the picture!
It's always packed, weekend or day especially during brunch hours so have a bit of patience for a table, it is totally worth it.
What I like about this place is that it's a pinch of healthy with a good serving of deliciousness. The cold iced latte is a must on

Love the coffee but the food well, that could be improved with some simple love and attention!
Crepes galore (sweet and savory) and I'd probably come here for a hangover cure on. Sunday morning.
The coffee on the other hand, that's a different story. Definitely one of the better places for quality coffee
Rating on coffee alone 4 out of 5

On a beachfront street with a dozen choices for coffee shops, this has been my go-to cup of coffee place in Sydney for several years. (The fact it's a ten minute walk from our daughter's home does add to the allure.)
This friendly coffee shop has perfect outside seating, allowing one to enjoy the beach and surf views in this picturesque north shore suburb of Sydney. Sitting alone at a counter does not mean staring at a wall. It means watching surfers and beachfront life. Very relaxing.

Unlike many of the restaurants/ice cream shops along Dee Why Strand, Girdlers Grind is just a plain old coffee shop. Owned and operated by Manly legend Ryan Girdler, Girdlers Grind is a fantastic spot.
Being a coffee shop, coffee is the cafe's main gain, although the health freaks amongst us are able to get into an organic smoothie, while milkshakes, tea and hot chocolate also make appearances on the menu.It also does a mean banana bread, which goes all too well with the flat white. Yum!
It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is usually swamped on sunny days with yummy mummys and strollers

This down pat has the best coffee (yes I say that with Bacino in the vicinity) along this Dee Why strip.
This is a breakfast regular for us as the other half enjoys his runs from Dee Why to Long reef, my daugher loves the park and I wait for all the activity to finish and think about Girdlers Grind.
The Rasberry and Pear Bread is wonderfully moist and toasted to perfect but its the coffee I lust for. It has its own signature blend whcih was created by Ryan Girdler and Scottie Callaghan (Belaroma barista of 2011) which apparently consistsof a complex 6 bean bleand adn is roasted for 15 minutes
