Lisa Clark Dance Centre has been one of Canberra's leading dance schools since we opened our doors in 1990. 2021 is an incredibly exciting year for us as we come out of the crazy year that was 2020!
With fully qualified teachers, wonderful facilities and a welcoming, nurturing and family-focused environment, LCDC can provide a magical and enriching dance experience for every student, whether they are looking for a career in dance or just their own moment to shine on stage. We pride ourselves on using and creating material that is age-appropriate in music, movements and performance costumes.

Services
Providing outstanding tuition for young dancers in the Tuggeranong area since 1990, Lisa Clark Dance Centre (formerly Lisa Clark School of Ballet) has a national reputation for excellence in Classical Ballet. With over 400 students, the school now offers classes in many areas of the Performing Arts.
Lisa received her early dance training from some of Canberra's most respected teachers including Bryan 'Lawrence, Janet Karin, Dell Brady, and Betsy Sawers. After deciding on a career in teaching, Lisa stud lied at the College of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London, graduating in 1988 with a Licentiate and Associate of the RAD, an Associate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (National Branch) and the Psychology Prize.
Over the 27 years that LCDC has been running, we have seen thousands of students come through our doors. We pride ourselves on being a forever school, often seeing students from their first day at ballet through to their graduation. We even have some students who were with us when the school opened in 1991 who are now bringing their own children to LCDC!
There's no denying that music, rhythm, sound, and movement impact our children from a very young age. Most children develop a love of dance and music begins before they can even talk! LCDC is proud to announce that in 2019, in addition to our Angelina Ballerina Academy ballet classes, we will be offering classes for 2-year-olds to dance with Mum or Dad, and jazz classes for 3-5 year old's.
Our 'Once Upon a Ballet' course is specifically designed to develop foundation dance techniques and build skills essential for your childs early development. LCDC is proud to announce that in 2021, we will be introducing new classes for our pre-school dancers. Our new classes will still have two levels; "First Steps" for 3-4 year olds and Discovering Dance for 4-5 year olds.

I have been dancing with this studio since I was 3 years old, and I absolutely love it. It has become my second home, with its friendly, warm community and beautiful environment. It is absolutely the perfect place to begin or continue your dance journey. I love my dance family more than anything and it is all thanks to LCDC. 💜 💜 💜

LCDC is by far the best in CANBERRA , they are empowering the kids to believe in themselves , raising their self confidence , and teaching the right technique from the beginning so the kids have everything they need to be the best dancer that they wish to be . The studio is so well maintained and always a friendly face behind the desk to answer… any questions you may have ! And even better they have the best afternoon tea club which is providing the kids and parents waiting with healthy snacks to keep everyone going . Wish I had made the move earlier to such an amazing dance school ...
