Because we don't know how long this lockdown will last, we have special, online casual passes only, or, you can use your regular passes which you have previously purchased. 10 or 20 class bundles for online classes can NOT be purchased at this time. This is to ensure our administration can transition smoothly back to in-studio classes (hopefully as soon as possible).
I am not very fit / coordinated, will I be able to dance? Yep! That is the beauty of dance! Classes cater for people at all levels of dancing ability. I have never done dancing before. Where should I start? We hold FREE open days at the start of Terms 1 and 3 which is a great way to come and try any of our classes and to meet instructors.
At Subsdance we pride ourselves on providing challenges to Dancers of all levels. We have advanced performance teams that represent; Brazilian Samba, Urban Fusion and Cabaret/Vaudeville. I've now been going to Subsdance for about 2-3 terms and I've tried the Dancehall and the Sass Femme Hip-Hop Classes.
It truly is fantastic. Yes it's a great place to learn about dancing (and I certainly recommend the classes led by Charlie herself!). It's also a really affirmative, positive space, where everyone is given the chance to feel amazing.

We used Subsdance's services for a hen's night dance lesson and they were brilliant - friendly, accommodating and really about making dance fun.
There seem to be limited options in Canberra for a decent one-off dance session for hens nights (and I don't mean pole dancing). After efforts to contact other studios went unanswered I contacted subsdance with an ambitious plan to learn a surprise dance routine that could be performed at the wedding. Kristie, the manager was super helpful and arranged a session for us with Subsdance instructor Garrett at very short notice.
Garrett kindly met with me
