Services
Situated perfectly alongside the spring fed creek, the Roundhouse has a 360 degree view of the Daintree Rainforest and surrounds. With native fauna moving throughout the property this is an advantage as you sit and unwind into your Daintree holiday. The Roundhouse is a beautiful holiday house that has been built and furnished with beautiful native timbers, and comfortably sleeps 4 people in 2 private bedrooms.
The Cottage is our romantic getaway property, situated on the spring fed creek, it is cozily nestled away in the Daintree Rainforest. This beautiful world Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest offers a wealth of activities. The activities include walking trails, the Great Barrier Reef, native rainforest boardwalks and beaches to explore. Why not take a picnic lunch and explore nearby Coopers Creek or one of the many other amazing areas near Daintree Cascades.
We recommend to hire a private vehicle as there is no public transport once you reach the Daintree Rainforest. You are able to hire a car at the airport or at one of the nearby car hire companies. It is not necessary to hire a 4WD to reach our property. If you are staying during the wet season (Roughly between December and April) it might be a good idea to hire a 4WD as the creeks can become full and result in water over causeways and the road.
There is limited Telstra mobile phone reception in the area although you can get it down on Thorntons Beach a 3 minute drive from Daintree Cascades. There is no internet available at Daintree Cascades but Wi-Fi can be purchased at a couple of restaurants including Lynch Haven (5 minutes' drive from us) or Whet (located in Cape Tribulation).

Absolutely stunning location. Easily accessible and has everything required for you to have a comfortable, relaxing stay. No Telstra reception, some Optus coverage in parts. Beautiful creek and numerous waterfalls just a step out the back doors. Entire place is fly-screened so keep out the mosquitos. Highly recommended if you’d like to switch off and unwind to the sound of nature.

This place was absolutely magical! One of the best holidays we have had for sure. A perfectly equipped lovely little cottage setting in the middle of the rainforest with a beautiful creek/completely private swimming hole. What more could one ask for! It just got better when we learned we were completely radiation proof for once! (No network /wifi). Truly blissful!!!
We were lucky to meet with Ally and James who were absolutely lovely and made every effort to make us comfortable when we got there in the middle of a mad rainy rainforesty week.
We are definitely coming back Ally! Hope to catch you

Just left the cottage at Daintree Cascades after staying for two nights. The place is absolutely AMAZING. Private, peaceful (only the noise of the waterfalls and the wildlife). I didn't get to meet Ali or her partner but as we loved it so much, after going to cooktown and then back to cairns for a few nights, we are lucky enough that the cottage will be available after that so we are going back for another two nights. If you are going to the Daintree, STAY HERE. I cannot think of a more PERFECT place to relax and unwind, I only wish it was a lot closer to Sydney.

A haven in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest - secluded and spectacular
The Round House is indeed round (well, octagonal) and has floor to ceiling windows around most of its circumference, so while you sit inside, you see and hear the rain forest everywhere around you. Birds and butterflies abound and one evening we saw a big lizard on a nearby rock - very cool. Apparently a cassowary visits now and then but we did not see him (or her). You have your own private waterfalls and rock pools just down the steps from the house, which sound beautiful and are lovely to dip in. You can see and hear
