As early childhood educators, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Genuine, positive relationships based on mutual respect with children, families, community and each other are essential to achieve positive outcomes in order to promote each child's learning and well being. Our curriculum is play, strengths and interest-based, reflecting the Early Years Learning Framework of Australia.
We provide a warm, loving and secure environment which encourages each child to explore and discover the world around them with confidence and extend their understandings through feelings of self-worth. We have a strong focus on promoting children's positive mental health and well being, embedding feelings of 'belonging' and an appreciation in 'being' proud of who they are.
As an Assistant Principal of Kanwal Public School, I am writing in strong support of Gorokan Preschool as an active and valuable part of our local community. For the best part of 40 years, Kanwal Public School has received students from Gorokan Preschool into our Kindergarten classes with their families and students being actively involved in our more recent transition-to-school programs.
