Services
Kooyonga is proud to host a team of enthusiastic and driven staff members, each who specialise in their own area whilst also adopting a collaborative team work approach. Our mission is to consistently provide members and guests an outstanding experience with industry leading facilities and services.
Rated at number 25 in Australia, Kooyonga has hosted five Australian Opens, nine South Australian Opens, eight National Amateur Championships and in 2018, the Women's Australian Open. The challenging layout and sensational playing surfaces of this championship golf course provides you with the ultimate golfing experience.
Kooyonga encourages members and guests to support our golf etiquette guidelines which entail a set of rules and practices for golfers to ensure maximum enjoyment on course and promote respect for fellow golfers. Members and their guests are expected to dress in the clubhouse in a manner which will uphold the prestige of the club.
A 500 metre par 5 offering an enticing beginning to the round. Fairway bunkers on the right hand side of the fairway will catch a long drive but a 3 wood or 3 iron will position your tee shot short of these. The second shot requires a long iron or hybrid to a large mound in the center of the fairway.
Kooyonga utilises both warm and cool season turf varieties of turf for its playing surfaces. A creeping bentgrass blend is used for the putting greens and collars, whilst Santa ana hybrid couch is the preferred variety for all fine turf areas including green surrounds, fairways and tees. Common or native 'Somerton Couch' is still prevalent in many of the roughs and out of play areas throughout the course.

I went to Kooyonga Golf club for a wedding. We had pre dinner drinks, which was delightful as there was a number of choices for wine and they also catered for the non drinker. Also the canapes we're delicious and helped to stave our hunger until we went into the room for dinner.
The dinner was delicious and we were given a choice for each course. The food was delicious. The waiters were very accommodating and pleasant.
The room was decorated exceptionally well. All in all it was a very relaxing and enjoyable wedding.
I would be most happy to recommend Kooyonga Golf club to anyone especially
