The Magic Tree specialises in building emotional awareness and correcting body alignment. Michelle Rodgers, owner and instructor at The Magic Tree, uses yoga to empower children, teens and adults to reconnect with their bodies and their emotions. Michelle Rodgers has taught yoga for 20 years, she was accredited through the Fremantle Yoga School in 2001.
EMOTIONAL AWARENESS teaches children how to be more comfortable in the world around them. It gives them tools, techniques and practice, to allow them to negotiate and better understand life and people. This insight at an earlier age in life can strongly empower and support children. These are tools for life.
Our philosophy is to empower and support children throughout school and into the future. So they leave school having not only the academic skills but are socially and emotionally equipped for life, with a deeper understanding of how to support themselves when facing life's challenges. They are more capable of creating and fulfilling their potential and recognizing their greatest dreams.
We use specific props and specialised adjusting, focusing on pelvic floor work, correcting body alignment and teaching correct use of the body to relieve sore parts of the body. A 6-week course focusing on reconnecting and strengthening your pelvic floor that is specifically designed for mums after child birth.
These classes are therapeutically based, focusing on the realignment and correct use of the body, to ease movement on and off the mat. When people first come they think their aches and pains are because they are getting older - this is not so - it is just your body is out of balance! Tight muscles pull on your back and joints.

I have known Michelle for many years and both of my sons have done yoga classes with Michelle at times over the years. I love her kids yoga classes, they learn so much about their bodies and mind and always come home feeling calm and happy. I do yoga regularly with Michelle and I really look forward to my class every week. I love the small class size and I love being able to hear the waves and to see the sky during class, it really is a beautiful space to do yoga. Love yoga classes with Michelle. I have had long standing back problems and so yoga can be challenging for me. Michelle does a lot of work to strengthen core muscles & pelvic floor which has helped my back so much. She is excellent at helping individuals with their yoga poses and always mindful that they use their body correctly. She has beautiful energy and provides the perfect space for everyone. It’s Great yoga studio with ocean views is a bonus

Mich has a rare and wonderful gift, she sees the whole person and understands it in a way that I have not witnessed in any other health professional. She has identified and fixed the root cause of many of my injuries, when sports doctors and physios have failed. I call her the "Witch Doctor", as she seems to be able to see, understand and address any ailment I throw at her AND she remains calm and supportive even when you don't do your homework!!

I have been practising yoga with Michelle for over 20 years. She is very knowledgeable and an excellent, caring instructor. Michelle is brilliant. I have learnt so much about my body over the years through her teaching and only wish I had discovered yoga in my 20s, not my 40s. Her yoga centre is a serene room, overlooking the ocean. What more could you ask for.
