To foster and promote the highest standards of professionalism for Victorian Conveyancers by providing continuing education and establishing best practices for the benefit of Members and the Consumer. The Australian Institute of Conveyancers - Victorian Division (AIC Vic) is the peak professional body representing licensed and employee Conveyancers in Victoria.
Independent Conveyancers emerged in Victoria in the early 1980s. For the first time, Victorian consumers were offered the same freedom of choice for conveyancing services that had existed in other Australian States for many years. South Australia, for example, has had Licensed Conveyancers since 1923.
Conveyancers enjoy a stimulating and rewarding career. The profession is ideally suited to those with an eye for detail and an interest in the law and helping people. Conveyancers are qualified professionals that specialise in all aspects of property dealings.
The role of a Conveyancer is to assist consumers to smoothly and successfully complete the sale and purchase of real estate and any other property transactions that create, vary, transfer or extinguish property title.Suitably qualified, Licensed Conveyancers may also deal with the sale and purchase of businesses.
